125 acre "off grid" property with incredibly beautiful views, 2 awesome small post & beam cabins, "a river runs through it", 5 miles of manicured trails, plenty of wildlife, river kayaking & tubing with over a mile of river frontage on Israel's River, surrounded by other US & New Hampshire Wildlife Refuges, there is a "woodcock habitat/preserve" on the property, beaver dams. This is the place for a great "Family Gathering" for a weekend or week. Sit on the deck and look at the Presidential Range to the south (can even see the Cog going up the rails), or the Kilkenny Range to the east, or Cherry Mountain to the southwest.
The main cabin has a wood stove, propane cook stove and refrigerator, flush toilet (to share with second cabin), well pump (only source of water), 3 queen size sleeping matresses/futon, limited solar lighting, oil lamps. A ladder is used to access the sleeping loft!
The smaller cabin has a wood stove, well pump (only source of water), 1 double size sleeping matress, 2 single matresses (in the screen porch, my favorite place to sleep) and other comfortable mats. A ladder is used to access the sleeping loft!
It may sound somewhat primitive to be off-grid in a secluded spectacular environment, but you will be amazed at how relaxing and meditative this place is. I believe you will enjoy your time away from your television and other distracting "devices". Cell phone reception, however, is pretty good!
Please remember there is no electricity available at Jona Meadow and you should come prepared for peace and quiet!
