The property is ideally situated in an area of scenic nature, close to beautiful rivers and lakes, waterfalls, fishing, birding, canoeing and kayaking, golfing, cycling and hiking, artisans and farmers markets, ATVing, snowmobiling and skiing, and quaint small towns and villages. There are plenty of places to go and things to do no matter what time of year. The year round 1400 sq. ft. 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit is located at the end of a quiet cottage road nestled on a hillside at the edge of the cedar trees. It comprises the lower level of a two level residence. The lower level is a walk-out level with plenty of bright windows and is a completely self-contained living area that can accommodate 6-8 persons. The property owner will occasionally be staying on the upper level which has its own separate entrance at the opposite end of the building. There is a large parking area conveniently located close to your entrance. Inside the entrance foyer there is plenty of room for shoes, coats, etc. There is also a pullout sofa that can be used for sleeping if needed. From here the hallway takes you past the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to a spacious open living, dining and kitchen area. Each of the 3 bedrooms has windows and one has a large bay window. There are queen beds in two of the bedrooms and a double in the other. Each of the bathrooms is a 3-piece. One with a Jacuzzi tub, sink, toilet and the other with a shower, sink, toilet. The compact but efficient kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, tea pot, and dishes and cutlery. The open floor plan allows for easy conversation between those in the kitchen, dining and living room areas. In the dining area there is the main dining table and six chairs. There is also an additional table and together the two tables can accommodate up to 8 people. The living room features comfortable furniture to unwind in and includes a couch, love seat, two chairs, coffee and end tables. There is a TV (no cable or satellite), and a VHS/ Blu-Ray DVD player. From the dining area there is a patio door that leads to a 10 X 12 foot ground level patio with a picnic table, patio table with umbrella and chairs. There is also a propane BBQ for grilling your favourite holiday feasts. It’s a great spot for catching some rays, socializing, chatting with family members, relaxing with your book and/or favourite vacation beverage. Outside there is a fire pit for evening campfires, marshmallow roasting, and sharing stories. A sandbox is also there for the younger children. There is a kayak, canoe, paddle boat and lifejackets for 4 adults and 2 children available for your use. You will need to transport boats down the road to Lake Eugenia. Throughout the property you will find trails to explore the woodlands and wetland area. Many of your basic day-to-day shopping needs are available in Eugenia at the Top of the Rock grocery/LCBO store, Eugenia Emporium, or the Jable Food Basket. The heritage villages of Kimberley, Flesherton and Markdale are a short drive away. A little farther away are all the amenities of Thornbury, Collingwood and the Blue Mountain Village Resort - with a wide variety of shopping, dining, entertainment, arts & culture events and attractions. There is plenty to see and do in the area. Take your camera and explore the beauty of Eugenia and Hogg’s Falls. Hike the Bruce Trail for some of the finest hiking in Ontario. Spend a few hours or an entire day on some of the ATV and cycling trails, or explore the world of ‘birding’ ? a wonderful experience for beginners or experienced birders.
