This quaint cedar cottage is located on the sandy east shore of Lake Bellaire with 100 feet of shared frontage, large sand area for children to play at the lake's edge, a county park with beach and picnic tables right behind our cottage. The cottage has 920 square feet of living space, with 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a log queen bed and the guest room has two double beds configured in a log bunk style bed. The bath has been updated with a new tile shower. The updated kitchen with full size stove and fridge is fully equipped to make that perfect picnic for the beach or grill on our outdoor grill for dinner. The living room is furnished like home including cable TV and wireless internet, and a separate dining room with full sized futon for to assist with sleeping arrangements as necessary.
The cottage is located on the beautiful waters of sandy bottom Lake Bellaire. This all sports 1800 acre lake has something for everyone; boating, swimming, skiing, kayaking or canoeing and fishing. A wonderful day trip is to boat the entire Lower Chain of Lakes navigating down the Grass River, which is full of wildlife and beautiful scenery, into Clam Lake. Don’t forget to stop and eat at Dockside restaurant on your way to the pristine blue green waters of Torch Lake. If you have time head south past the Sand bar, down the Torch River to Lake Skemgemog, and into Elk Lake.
There are 4 championship Golf courses within 5 miles of the cottage, including Arnold Palmer’s The Legend, Tom Wieskoptf designed Cedar River, The Chief and Hawk’s Eye. This cottage is located minutes from the quaint town of Bellaire where you will find unique shops, local eateries, including Short’s-a microbrewery and Ruthie’s dairy twist, a grocery store and much more. Traverse City and Charlevoix are only 35 minutes away offering Turtle Creek casino, Grand Traverse Bay, wineries, restaurants and shopping. Enjoy day trips to Machinaw Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Leelanau Peninsula, Petoskey and Harbor Springs.
