This quiet vacation house is nestled in the heart of Florida’s nature coast. This get-a-way is perfectly situated on a large waterfront property with plenty of space for your boat, R.V., motorcycle and toys. The recently upgraded bungalow, boasts a large open floor plan and beautifully remodeled kitchen. There is a brand new king memory foam bed in the master suite and 2 twin beds in the guest suite. The dining room seats eight(8) and a there is a breakfast nook in the kitchen that seats three(3). The Lakehaus is located on an enchanting lagoon that has direct access to world class freshwater fishing, on Lakes Henderson and Tsala Apopka, or just fish from our fishing dock. There is a boat launch within 3 minutes of the property or you have the ability to moor your boat on the property.
The home is a short 40 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico and all the nature coast has to offer. The charming town of Inverness is a show piece of old Florida. Stroll though downtown with its antique stores and quaint shops. The city offers a variety of dining experiences you will not want to miss, as well as seasonal fairs and festivals. There is always something going on to enjoy. The Lakehaus is also close to beautiful golf courses. The town offers family friendly activities such as a bowling alley, a roller skating rink, a movie theatre, horseback riding, dude ranches, car racing, and and more. This is a great location for people who like the out doors. The home is minutes away from long trails for cycling, walking and rollerblading. Some choose to airboat, canoe, or kayak, down the world famous Withlacoochee River. The property is about an hour to Orlando and Tampa, Ocala, and Crystal River, as well as shopping malls, themed attractions, and destinations.
If you are bird watcher like us, sit in the kitchen nook, or on the back lawn, and watch the endangered sand cranes and herons roam the property as an alligators swim by in the lagoon.
The Lakehaus is adjacent to the Florida State Park, Fort Cooper, and the Withlacoochee State Park. It is near Homosassa Springs State Park. The home a short drive to watch the manatees and mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs. But if you decide to go tubing slowly down the Rainbow River Springs, you are sure to have a lot of fun on your visit to Florida.
