Situated up above Lake Fairlee (one of the quieter Vermont lakes) with views of the lake and mountains, this wonderful year-round home is comfortable and spacious. It's a special place with woods, fields and lawns and a short walk down to the lake where we have a big dock, kayaks, paddle boards and boats. The lake is clean, clear and peaceful - perfect for swimming.
The house is very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and plenty of entertainment areas. The main floor has a huge living room, library, and eating/fireplace room that is off the kitchen. But the best part of the house is our huge screen porch where we feed everyone in the summer. We also have a sleeping porch above where kids sometimes sleep or hang out and a funny little old camp cabin for the brave.
The house is filled with color and life and has spectacular views. To the side of the house we have a lawn going out to a frog pond with a simple fountain and fire-pit.
The luxurious master bedroom has a king bed, its own sink and tub in the room, a deck and beautiful pond views. There is a bathroom with shower on the main floor. Upstairs, there are two modern bathrooms. There is a bedroom with a king sized bed and views to die for, a bunk room that sleeps six where we put lots of kids, another bedroom with two twins, and a spacious bedroom with a queen.
In the basement we have a ping pong table and a movie room (DVDs).
