Enter the house into a space of light. The house centers around a 12 skylight atrium, with a dining table and hammock and plants. Off of this space is the living room, with a fireplace, a wall of windows looking at the woods and 3 sets of French doors opening onto a deck and stone patio with a fire pit. The eat-in kitchen is surrounded on 3 sides by windows looking out on the woods with a door to a private deck for dining. There is a door that leads to a large outdoor shower and one to the mudroom.
The main floor has two bedrooms. There is a twin bedroom across the hall from a bathroom with washer and dryer. The large master bedroom (queen) has a walk in closet, bathroom with separate skylit shower and oversize tub and another door the the great outdoor shower. Up the stair, the loft bedroom suite has a skylit bedroom (king or double twin) connected by double french doors to a sitting room that overlooks the atrium and has a wrap around couch and writing desk.
Doors lead to four outdoor spaces. The treehouse like deck with dining table, umbrella and grill and bird feeder is off the kitchen eating area. (sorry no picture of that this year, waiting to set up furniture.) The patio off the living room hasseating and firepit. The garden yard yields tomatoes and our large outdoor shower. At the main entrance there is walk shrouded with rhodedenron and entry porch. The lot is a wooded acre, very private in summer on a quiet cul=de-sac. There is a deeded access to the private harbor/Duck Creek beach area at the end of the street across from the town pier. This bay beach has a canoe and can be used for your own kayaks, canoes and sailboats. Perfect for beachcombing, boating, walking, sunsets.
The village of Wellfleet is a pleasant 15 min walk along a path and across Uncle Tim's Bridge. We are 3 miles from the closest seashore beach, Cahoon Hollow and just over a mile to close ponds. It is a quick ride to the head of the Bike Trail at South Wellfleet and the PB Boulangerie. A short trail through the woods and careful crossing of Rt 6 will get you to PJ's and cumby's for ice cream or food.+ More
