Full of charm and perfectly located, you’ll love this private home, steps from Alberta Arts District with its acclaimed food, galleries and shops.

Welcome to your home away from home in Portland’s most unique and exciting neighborhood. Comfy, cozy and lovely, this private craftsman bungalow that sleeps four will be all yours—the perfect base camp from which to explore. For starters, you’ll be mere steps from Alberta Arts District restaurants (we’re foodies, so please feel free to ask for recommendations—the possibilities are endless), boutiques, galleries, breweries, parks and more. On Sundays, you can even saunter down to the local King Neighborhood farmer’s market and stock up of the freshest veggies for the week.

The house itself features amenities including an upstairs master bedroom and bathroom with a huge double-head shower; office/guest bedroom with a queen-sized American Leather Comfort Sleeper (read the reviews—it’s as comfy as any bed!); second bathroom on the main floor with a clawfoot tub (aaaaaaaah); full kitchen with everything you need to whip up tasty morsels with your farmer’s market booty; large dining table; two sitting areas (one set up for TV/movie-watching and another perfect for fireplace-enjoying, games-playing, reading or napping); veggie garden (help yourself!) and a lovely back yard garden patio and grill.

  • Groceries including natural (Portland’s own New Seasons, Whole Foods), traditional (Fred Meyer, Safeway) and co-ops are all nearby;

  • Off-street parking and plenty of free street parking with no time limits;

Mere steps to Alberta and just 10 minutes to the heart of the city. A short walk, bike or bus ride or quick drive to other fun neighborhoods including Mississippi Street, Hawthorne, the Pearl and downtown. We're located just a few blocks from a major bike route (Going Street) and several bus lines. Also just 15 minutes to/from the airport by car/taxi, about 30 by public transportation. If you have a car, you are welcome to park in the driveway or use the ample street parking in front of the house.

This home is available from mid-July to mid-November, 2017. We are ideally looking for one sublet for a minimum of three months, but are open to inquiries about an extended stay for part of that period.
