This house in conveniently placed in the heart of Jersey City. It is a quick 8-minute walk to the Journal Square PATH station which provides transportation to Newark, Downtown Jersey City, Newport, Hoboken and of course New York City.
The neighborhood itself is close to Downtown Jersey City where you can find a lively atmosphere with renowned bars and restaurants and with places to visit and sights to see including parks, promenade with NYC views and shopping.
The Journal Square neighborhood is a very diverse community surrounding the transportation hub that bears its name. You can find ethnic food shops, historic buildings and much more. As an up and coming neighborhood, it has much to offer, and there is more to come.
You will be a quick 8-minute walk to the Journal Square PATH station which provides transportation to Newark, Downtown Jersey City, Newport, Hoboken and of course New York City. The train to New York City takes about 15 mins. The train stops at Christopher Street, 9th Street, 14th Street, 23rd Street and 33rd Street and there is a train to World Trade Center as well.
You can also explore Downtown Jersey City which is reachable by PATH train where you can find a lively atmosphere with renowned bars and restaurants and with places to visit and sights to see including Liberty State Park.
The Journal Square neighborhood is a diverse and flourishing community surrounding the transportation hub that bears its name. Ethnic restaurants such as those in India Square, historic buildings such as the Loews Theater, and the world-class Mana Contemporary Arts gallery are some of the highlights of the area.
It is very easy to get around! Here are some options:
Directions to Journal Square PATH Station (7-8 Min Walk): Upon exiting the property, walk north on Summit Avenue to Sip Ave. (3 blocks). Make a left there and walk one block to one of the many entrances to the station. Note: these are the simplest directions. Please refer to your map app of choice for alternate routes as there is more than one entrance to the station. I have also provided walking maps to the station.
Citi Bike (short-term bicycle rental):
There are several Citi Bike docks in the vicinity of the building including one that is a 5-minute walk. To reach it, upon exiting the property, walk north on Summit Avenue to Sip Ave. (3 blocks). Make a left there and walk one blocks to the Citi Bike dock. Note: Citi Bike is the same program like the one in NYC, which makes your pass valid there as well. Uber or Lyft:
You will find that the ride-sharing app of your choice is very convenient and economical in Jersey City. Consistently low rates and availability of cars makes it an efficient way of getting around. If you need a code get your first ride free, don't hesitate to ask me!
Whatever you want to call them, they are ubiquitous and an inexpensive mode to travel here in Jersey City. They follow similar routes as NJ Transit buses and can be the most economical option depending on your destination. You can take one from the station to NYC or other parts of Hudson County.
