Mammoth Lakes Vacation Rentals, Cottages & More!

Located on the edge of the Long Valley Caldera in California’s Eastern High Sierra, Mammoth Lakes is one of California’s year-round destinations, with vacation rentals scattered around the town and local lakes, surrounded by Mammoth Mountain to the east and the Sherwin Range to the south.

With the tallest peak in California, and one of the largest alpine areas in North America, nearby Mammoth Mountain Ski Area offers skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, tubing, and dog sledding. As a four-season holiday destination, the resort and region also attracts summertime hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, and off-road vehicle drivers. Fishing enthusiasts will be well served with a myriad of angling opportunities throughout the area. Mammoth Lakes is also centrally located to some of the most prized parks in the west, including Yosemite, King’s Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks, as well as Devils Postpile National Monument, and Bodie State Historic Park.

With plenty of restaurants, cafés, pubs, boutiques, galleries, and spas in Mammoth Lakes, there’s no shortage of places to retire to after a day on the slopes or trails. The town also plays host to a number of annual events, including the Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza, an annual outdoor gathering of over fifty craft brewers as well as Blues acts from around the U.S.

Mammoth Lakes offers an array of natural, outdoors, and cultural attractions, as well as a variety of facilities and rental accommodation options, and at nearly 400 kilometres southeast of Sacramento, an off the beaten Californian track experience.
