The Metro Cabin has a true 'cabin feel' that you don't find very often. The cabin has 2 private bedrooms, a large loft with 4 twin beds, 2 full bathrooms, a full service kitchen, family room with comfortable seating, and a large front deck. Our cabin sleeps up to 4 adults and 4 teens/children comfortably, which is the perfect setting for 2 families or a group of friends. The cabin is cleaned prior to your stay to ensure maximum comfort.
We are located 1 mile from the beautiful lake and 3 miles from Heavenly valley ski resort and casinos! There are many sledding and snow play areas only a short drive away. Other nearby attractions include: Emerald Bay, the shops at Heavenly Village, Zephyr Cove, Camp Richardson and the Beacon Restaurant (home of the famous Rum Runner drink) and so much more. We recommend checking out the boating and cruising tours to enjoy the beauty of the Lake.
In addition, there are many taverns and restaurants within walking distance. There are great biking and walking trails which start less than two blocks away.
Our cabin offers a large common area in the rear of the cabin which is perfect for children to play in the snow or in the warmth of the summer sun.
Parking includes one assigned space located within feet of the cabin and a guest parking spot (on a first come first serve basis). Unlimited WiFi in cabin and basic cable provided. Television upstairs with DVD player for children. HDTV downstairs for family entertainment. Gas fireplace to add ambiance to your vacation.
Outside noise is not allowed between the hours of 9:00 pm and 8:00 am. Remember, you are visiting an area surrounded by the forest. In the forest we have hungry bears; bears view trash as an opportunity to eat. If garbage bags are left outside, or food is left inside of a vehicle, a bear will be encouraged to come into the neighborhood and eat the food. Bears are very strong and will tear open trash bags and go through car windows with food left in the cars. STORE all trash tightly; leave no trash or food in the car and do not leave trash bags outside the vacation home rental when you leave. Visitors must adhere to the maximum number of occupants of 8 persons when rented. Occupancy cannot exceed the maximum number allowed, at any time. Weddings and parties are not allowed at any time on the property. If the City of South Lake Tahoe or Local Police Department is contacted with noise, parking, occupancy or trash complaints, guests will be required to vacate immediately and may be subject to fines that range from $250-$2,000.
Note: Snowplowing in winter is provided by our homeowner's association, so access to the cabin is not a problem.+ More
