After playing outside in the fresh air, come back to a comfortable, bright, newly renovated retreat. The wide open living floor plan with cathedral ceilings allows the whole group to enjoy cooking, lounging by the wood-burning fireplace, and watching the new 60'' HDTV while still being together. Enjoy the sunset on the oversized porch with a propane grill included.
The four bedrooms all have brand new top of the line mattresses with fresh white linens included. There are two bedrooms on the main floor - one queen bedroom and another with two twin beds. These share a full bath. Wake up with mountain views from the loft master suite with a queen size bed and private full bath. Downstairs, find another queen bedroom with large wood burning fireplace and outdoor access, a third bathroom, and full laundry room. (The downstairs bathroom is unrenovated in all of its vintage 1974 glory but is clean and functional!)
Outside, there is a fire pit for you to enjoy - chairs for the fire pit can be found in the laundry room.
The house is located in Gingercake Acres, a quiet neighborhood with many full-time residents. Nearby by car: Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Gorge and Falls, Moses Cone, Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, ski slopes, and snow tubing.
The roads are well maintained and will not require 4-wheel drive except in the case of inclement weather. Please keep all food and trash indoors to keep wildlife away, and remove after your stay is over.
There is plenty of parking at the house for 4 cars. The neighborhood is great for walks along the gravel roads, and there are a number of restaurants within close driving distance.
Other things to note
