Welcome to the Turtle Cove Cottage (TCC)! Monthly or extended stays available. Our home is located in New Smyrna Beach which encompasses a beautiful Barrier Island with 13 miles of pristine white sandy beaches including drive on sections. There is an additional 24 miles of coastline at nearby Canaveral National Seashore (offering beach access, tours, activities, trails and a Visitor Center). TCC is nestled among the moss draped streets in a nice quiet and quaint neighbor that is close to amenities and 5 minutes to the beach.
Turtle Cove Cottage was lovingly renovated and is ready for guests to enjoy the Florida lifestyle to the fullest. The large living room has a big long comfortable couch with triple recliners so you can all watch the fireplace or your favorite movies on the 60 inch TV. Free Wi-Fi is also available for your pleasure. There is are DVD’s and a selection of books for you to enjoy. Off the fully equipped large kitchen there is seating for 6 and another seating area for 3 to play games, or try putting together one of the many puzzles in the house for your enjoyment. The enclosed front porch is great place to relax and read a newspaper or book while having a cup of coffee to start off your day. The home has 3 bedrooms with 1 king bed and 2 queen beds, plus a pullout sleeper in the master bedroom. There are two full bathrooms with one offering a jetted tub which is like having your own personal massage therapist and the other full bath has a shower. The house has an outside patio area with a dining table and seating plus a nice propane grill. The owners offer beach chairs, towels, a cooler, boogie boards, kids sand buckets to take to the beach. All that you need to enjoy the beach. There is plenty of parking so you can bring your RV, boat or trailer.
New Smyrna Beach offers shelling, fishing, boating, site seeing - spotting Dolphin's, Manatees, tropical birds and the American Bald Eagle are part of the everyday sites that you can experience seeing on the Intracoastal and River. You can catch waves on a surfboard or ride them on a boogie board, rent a boat or kayak, go fishing or just rent a small 2 seater beach buggy to drive the beach for fun. There are 2 parts to our beach a drive and no drive section. Where you can decide if you would like to load up the car drive and park right on the wide beach and enjoy the day or choose the no drive beach.
New Smyrna Beach is a hidden jewel in Florida. With 3 main streets - one being historical Flagler Ave that has all types of festivals as well as casual nice restaurants, cute shops, ice crème stores etc. with just a small home town feel to it. Canal Street has a farmers market on Saturdays and oldie cars line the streets. Canal Street offers nice restaurants, a brewery, bakery's, antique stores and the little drug store with an original soda pop fountain dating back to 1900's. It is like stepping back in time. Dunes Park on the north end of the beach is a dog friendly beach for pet lovers. The Park has a boardwalk that overlooking the sea, jetty and lighthouse. You can walk along the sand with your dog and go swimming.
The area has several restaurants with beautiful views overlooking the Ocean or Intracoastal where you can dine or sip on an awesome cocktail. The area offers seasonal events, museums, bird watching, art walks, fishing, entertainment, farmers markets and more. Daytona Raceway and flea market are about 20 minutes north of town. New Smyrna Beach is the closest beach to the all the major parks in Orlando and centrally located to take day trips to check out St Augustine, the national forest area in Ocala, or blue springs home to many manatees in Deland, Fl. (a 35 minute drive from New Smyrna Beach).
Orlando International airport is 1 hour away, Sanford Orlando a smaller airport with International flights as well as inexpensive charter flights to smaller airports around the state is nearby. Daytona Beach International airport is also just north of NSB about 20 minutes away.
