Moonlight Valley Wilderness Lodge is located about 35 km north of Edson, Alberta, Canada. Enjoy the full use of this exclusive privately owned family retreat in Alberta's boreal forest. This vacation property is located on a 160 acre parcel of private wilderness surrounded by Crown land. You may have the private use of the entire three bedroom log lodge during your stay. There is a spacious living area with large picture windows, a full kitchen with dining area, small bathroom downstairs, sitting room/library on the second floor, washer/dryer, CD/stereo, VCR/DVD/TV (no television service), outside deck and BBQ. There is no phone in the vacation home but a phone is available nearby at the owner's residence for emergencies and cell phone service may be available. This is a non smoking resort, and there are pets on the property. There is plenty to see and do during your stay at Moonlight Valley, located in the true Canadian wilderness. ATV ADVENTURE TOURS AND TRAILS

Moonlight Valley Wilderness Lodge is located in the heart of some great ATV trail riding country. The upland boreal forest north of Edson Alberta contains a network of trails and cutlines, with the main leg of the Edson - Silver Summit Trail closeby and easily accessible from the lodge. The Silver Summit trail eventually connects to the Golden Triangle Trail system to the north, however overall the Golden Triangle Trail is best used in winter for snowmobiling. On-site there is a 16 km trail system that can be used for ATVing, and the adjacent Crown land contains other trails and random riding opportunities. ATV riders will find no shortage of areas to explore right from the lodge. Bring your ATV and explore the trails.

SUMMER FAMILY GETAWAY AT THE LODGE

Moonlight Valley Wilderness Lodge is a great place for family getaways and vacations in spring, summer and fall. Families may rent the entire lodge and have complete use of the facility during their stay. The lodge has 3 large bedrooms and is fully equipped. The lodge is easily accessible and in a great location for family adventures right outside your door. There are trails on the property offering hiking and mountain biking, plus endless areas to explore in the surrounding forest. There is fishing on the property in the north fork of the Edson River and many other streams and rivers in the region. Nature is close at hand, and wildlife sightings are common.

The lodge is surrounded by forest, where over 70 varieties of birds make their homes in summer. Sit and relax in a truly remote setting and enjoy the scenery and local wildlife. All year long, moose, deer and elk are found close at hand. Bears are often seen spring, summer and fall, and occasionally wolves may be heard howling. There are active beaver lodges/dams on the property too and these industrious mammals are often seen at dawn & dusk. The lodge is surrounded by forest, where over 70 varieties of birds make their homes in summer. Sit and relax in a truly remote setting and enjoy the scenery and local wildlife. The lodge owners maintain 16 km of cross country skiing, hiking and mountain bike trails on the property, and there is access to adjacent Crown land and a network of trails for those wishing to explore further. ATVing and snowmobiling enthusiasts will find a vast network of trails and terrain right outside the lodge doors. From the doorsteps of the lodge you can access the Silver Summit snowmobile trail, located only 3 km to the east, which connects to the Golden Triangle snowmobile trail system to the north.

Everything was great. Exactly what I was looking for. Very quiet area although I know it is popular with snowmobilers and the snow was not cooperating so that may be why it was quiet at this time of year.
