This beautiful cabin is nestled on a quiet Julian street, just one mile east of downtown. The large yard is home to numerous producing pear trees, a tree swing, a hammock on which to read the day away, and the occasional family of wild turkeys! The master bedroom encompasses the entire second story, and opens to its own beautiful deck to enjoy mountain views and summer stars. The large lower deck has a high-end built-in BBQ, and plenty of bird feeders to draw in our feathered friends.
"LeMoose" will greet you as you make your way to the front door of Moose Mountain Lodge. Relax and read a good book on the hammock, sip on a glass of wine on the upper deck, or kick back and relax while watching a movie on the 55" 4K UHD-TV. Log into Netflix under "GUESTS - Moose Mountain Lodge" on the smart tv and catch up on your favorite shows! Have a different kind of star gazing in mind? In the summer (especially during a new moon), the stars of the Milky Way are spectacular on a clear night.
A friendly neighborhood nestled in the mountains of Julian. Lots of manzanita trees, and the occasional deer and wild turkeys! Please keep an eye on your pets if you bring them, as there are rattle snakes and coyotes in the mountains.
Although the roads in the area are walkable, they are narrow, so please use caution if you plan to meander into town. Otherwise, park just outside of town to avoid heavy traffic during the busy seasons.
Please do not bring firewood from outside of the area. We need to protect our trees from pests and blights that will kill them. We request that you purchase firewood in or around Julian.
No smoking indoors or outside.
10PM Noise Ordinance.
Please only use the open spaces in the yard, and closely supervise children and pets at all times. Since this is a mountainous, rural area, there is a chance snakes and/or other predators may also call the neighborhood home.
Please exercise caution when allowing kids and/or pets on the upper and lower decks. We ask that you not allow children or pets to be on the decks unsupervised, since there is potential for them to fall and sustain injury.
Please exercise caution when walking up and down the inside stairs. Socks and Brazilian cherry make for a slippery combination!
- Have fun and enjoy the beauty of mother nature! :-)
