The Mountain Cottage is located in a peaceful remote setting, surrounded by stunning Mountain Views and access to adventure galore! It has been tastifully updated with beautiful local wood accents, warm cozy colors and lots of airy space. There is plenty of room with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a loft den, covered shaded porch, sunny deck, new linens, furniture and comfy mattresses. The Cottage is equipped with everything for a maximum of 10 people plus space to camp if you have extra guests! WiFi, TV & DVD player, BBQ in season, Outdoor firepit, games, and books all located on 2 acres for you to explore. In season guests can help themselves to culinary herbs, teas, greens and berries from the garden. Children are welcome to play in our park-like setting amounst old growth trees, play area and treehouses. We are Pet and Children friendly, some restrictions apply.
Amenities of Silverton & New Denver are 5- 10 minutes away with many beautiful beaches, trails, cafes, quaint shops, local markets and art venues. The area boosts tranquility, natural simple beauty & is aptly named the SLO-as-you-CAN area. Just sit back relax, listen to sounds of the wind and birdsong while bbqing on the deck. Go for a mountain biking adventure out the back door, climb to the Vistas and the ever popular Idaho Peak. Rent a kayak or canoe and paddle across into the beautiful Valhalla Provincial Park. There is much to do here, see some of our local attractions or just relax at our peaceful retreat in the mountains. Pure Bliss...In the wintertime come for snowshoeing, ski touring or just to hear the snow fall in the forest or curl up with a book by the woodstove. Powder is well known in this area!

The Mountain Cottage is located on a remote secondary rural road that is maintained all year round.
On the 2 acres you will have a park like setting, with flat areas for sports and yoga, shaded areas of old growth for children and adults, open sunny areas and a deck to lounge out on while bird watching or taking in the mountain views and forests that surround you. There is an outdoor firepit and a garden in season to forage for berries and herbs. The owner sometimes will provide workshops on medicine making and herb gathering for teas and culinary uses. Children are welcome to play on the swing set and treehouses at their own risk. Pets are also welcome, but must be picked up after and cared for.
You get the feeling of being remote while only being within 5-10 min. drive to Villages nearby, amenities and beautiful beaches of Slocan Lake.
30-40 min. drive to Nakusp and Kaslo, Arrow lake and Kootenay lake.
1 hour drive to Nelson
There are 4 bedrooms plus a loft area with a double futon and office space.
Each bedroom includes a dresser, night tables, closet space, chair, lamps and sleeping for 2.
4 doubles, 1 single and 1 single foamie, can sleep up to 10 people max.
All bedding, pillows, linens and extra blankets in winter are available.
Perfect for a couple or for 2 families or group to rent.
Extra guests? No problem bring extra foamies or a tent in season if your group is larger than 10.
