This is our cozy cabin in the woods of Glacier Springs and it's soon to be your vacation getaway! The cabin is 22 miles to Mt. Baker skiing, with nearby hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Eight skylights and lots of windows make for amazing natural light and a fantastic feeling of being in the woods and away from it all.
Three private bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and an open-plan common space with a compact kitchen, wood fireplace, and most of the amenities of home. Lots of heaters throughout the house will keep you as warm or as cool as you prefer.
The seventh guest will be sleeping on the full size futon in the living room. Baby gear is in the queen closet with plenty of space to set up in the master bedroom or the queen bedroom. The queen room closet is deep enough to hold the assembled travel crib, allowing the adults to keep the lights on while the baby sleeps and no worries about clearly hearing the baby's noises. We have a thick mattress, sheets and one blanket (shown in photo) for the crib, just bring your child and warm pajamas.
The internet is pretty reliable here so watching pretty much everything on your laptop will work fine, and the smart Blu-Ray player has a bunch of apps and an app store to watch/listen to your favorite streaming services. Just remember to sign out before you leave.
The entire house is open to you. Please don't take the place apart, but there are no locked doors and you can use the contents of the house during your stay. We love staying in whole house rentals when we travel and have set up this house with our own wish list of everything you might possibly want, including many of the things you might forget. Cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, boot and glove dryer, chargers for every kind of phone, spare toiletries, coffee, tea, cream, sugar, etc.
Glacier Springs is one of three housing developments around Glacier, WA where many of the homes are rentals or second homes. It does not have a gated entrance, but is a couple of miles further away from the slopes (Glacier is ~20mi from Mt. Baker skiing, this house is ~22mi). It is adjacent to the Canyon Creek trailhead (1/4 mile walk) and has easy driving access to fly fishing on the North Fork of the Nooksack river.+ More
