Enjoy your San Diego vacation in our private, delightful, 4 bedroom, 3 bath, comfortable modernized spanish vacation home in the cool, walkable North Park neighborhood, located in the very heart of San Diego. Some of San Diego’s best and most eclectic restaurants, coffee shops, bars and micro-breweries are just a short walk away.
We don't have many reviews yet since we had a few longer-term guests, and this is a newer listing. We hope you will choose to stay at our lovely vacation home, and with your review help change that!
This lovely home is featuring a gourmet kitchen with breakfast nook, hardwood floors, coved ceilings in the living and dining room, a wood-burning stove, a wonderful deck for your San Diego outdoor living experience, and a large private backyard in this hip neighborhood.
This North Park home has been remodeled recently, and the architect owner added the modern ‘red tower’ for added living space, which includes a small guest suite with it’s own private bathroom. This small guest suite has a separate entrance and opens to the private backyard, ideal for in-laws or a nanny.
The home features a cozy private and quiet deck right off the kitchen for your outdoor dining and living experience, complete with a BBQ, large wooden benches, with total seating for 6-8.
Both the kitchen and master bedroom open out to the welcoming deck.
The spacious, modern kitchen features stainless steel appliances, and a gas range and a very cozy breakfast nook with benches. It comfortably seats about 6 guests. The breakfast nook is a great place to interact while meals are being prepared, to relax, enjoy your meals or a glass of wine or beer, play one of the board games, or read a good book.
The dining room can seat up to 8 guests.
3 tandem parking spaces are available in the driveway.
Use of our front-load washer and dryer is included.
High Speed Internet/Wifi
4 Bedrooms (MBR: California King; 1 Queen; 1 Queen; 2 Twins)
All bedrooms are located on the main level, except for the fourth bedroom and the laundry area, which are located down on the backyard level.
The nicely sized backyard is great for playing paddle ball, badminton, or crocket.
Due to the ongoing drought in San Diego and the resulting city-imposed water restrictions, you may see some browning of both the front and back yard lawn.
A very nicely equipped playground, called ‘Frog Park’ is just one block away in the North Park Community Park. Public tennis courts are just a few blocks away, and Balboa Tennis Club, boasting 25 hard courts in Balboa Park, is about 5 minutes away. Balboa Golf Course, Morley Field Disc Golfing, the Balboa Park Archery Range, the Bud Kearns Pool, and the San Diego Velodrome are all located within minutes of this lovely home.
Forbes Magazine named North Park one of America’s hipster neighborhoods, writing that ‘culturally diverse North Park is home to Craftsman cottages, cafes and diners, coffee shops, several microbreweries, boutiques, and the North Park Farmers Market. The North Park Theater and the Ray Street Arts District are also bastions of creativity in the area'.
The Los Angeles Times wrote that 'North Park has all the ingredients for the cool school: It's culturally diverse and has art galleries, boutiques, trendy bars with handcrafted cocktails and local brews, and foodie-approved eateries.'
Ray Streets Arts District holds a gallery walk called ‘Ray at Night’ every second Saturday of the month, and is the largest and longest running art walk in San Diego’s history. North Park is also home to the Birch North Park Theater.
The wonderful North Park Farmers Market is open every Thursday afternoon
