Enjoy the ocean front and its denizens ( otters, seals, herons and bald eagles to name a few) from your peaceful living/dining room or the comfort of your bedroom in a brand new and beautifully appointed water front suite looking out on the islands in the bay. Or get a little closer on your private patio. There are two little patios for out door seating in sun or rain and a barbecue is there for outdoor cooking. (We barbecue in the winter, too, in Victoria). Bring a kayak or canoe and launch from the private dock and be a part of it all. Want to skip rocks on the ocean? Just go to the park next door and take a stroll the beach. We are right on the E&N rail trail with connections to the Galloping Goose walking/biking trail. You can walk or ride to The Nest coffee shop, ride downtown or explore the island outside Victoria by bike. This private, spacious 900 ft2 1BR 1Bath suite sleeps three in beautifully furnished serenity. Great kitchen featuring quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances has everything you could need for your home away from home and in floor heating and gas fireplace keep you cozy and warm in winter. Wifi and basic cable is included. Brightly lit office space behind the kitchen lets you keep up with a few things on a longer stay or study while on course at nearby Royal Roads University. There is an in-suite washer and dryer as well as other laundry amenities in a spare room to use as you choose. Yoga anyone? Designated parking is provided and there is a private entrance for your Vancouver Island retreat.

Bedroom Description

The bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed with a door that opens onto the covered patio. A third guest can sleep on a drop down couch in the living room. There is special bedding for this bed stored in the suite.

Location Description

Water front property located next door to charming Portage Park and beach. Two minutes to the E&N bike/walking trail on which you can ride to down town in 25 minutes as well as connect with the Galloping Goose trail and other biking/walking trails. Check out the cafes and bakery on the trail including The Nest, Cafe Fantastico and Fol Epi. All Victoria has to offer including whale watching, fishing, museums, tours, restaurants, shopping and markets can be yours by bike, bus (half hour) or car (13minutes). Lovely and serene Thetis Lake with its beaches and walking paths is a 12 minute bike ride or short drive. Golfing enthusiasts are only minutes to the Gorge Golf Club (walk if you like) or drive 8 minutes to the Highland Pacific Golf Club with Bear Mountain Resort only 20 minutes away. The world famous Butchard Gardens are only a half hour drive from here or stay closer to home and stroll the gardens at Royal Roads University (where XMen was filmed) just a few minutes up the way. Mountain bikers? Hartland Landfill Mountain Bike Park is only a 20 minute drive or you can ride there in less than an hour if you are keen. Juan da Fuca and Pearkes are just two of the many recreational centers close by. If you're finished with the city and want a real West Coast experience head out west to one of the many spectacular ocean front beaches on the coast. Done for the day and don't fancy cooking? The 4Mile Pub and Restaurant is just 1/2 a block at the top of the hill.

Stunning and peaceful


The property is outstanding. Sits at the bottom of a hill overlooking a bay where you can watch seals swimming almost every day. Sunrises and sunsets are special times as the sun casts colour on the normally still water. Spent some great moments down on the dock enjoying the views.
