Our house is located on the north shore of Oahu, less than two miles west of Sunset Beach, the world famous surfing beach, and about one and a half miles west of Backyards (Velzyland), which is an equally well-known windsurfing site. A lesser known and uncrowded surfing area is offshore from our property. We are directly on the ocean, with year-round sunsets, and whales passing by during the winter months. The house sits on a flat, rocky reef, with sandy beaches a very short walking distance to the left and to the right. An offshore reef protects us from the pounding waves, and provides safe swimming and snorkeling. Honolulu is a one-hour drive away, but we are also directly on the bus line.

The vacation unit is in a separate wing of the main house and has its own private entrance. It shares a large deck and a large patio, both overlooking the water, with tables, lounge chairs, and a small charcoal barbecue. The living room faces the ocean, includes a 32-inch flat screen TV, and has a small dining area off to the side. The small but complete kitchen contains all necessary dishes and utensils. The bedroom is located on the mountain side of the house, and the bathroom (with sink, tub and shower) is directly off the bedroom. We also have a washing machine and dryer available for guest use. As with many other ocean front homes on the north shore, we are located on the around-island highway, so there is some vehicle noise at certain times. It is normally not heard on the deck or patio.

We require a five night minimum stay.

Excellent location, excellent hosts


The property had a view to die for. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful view or a location that allowed you to enjoy North Shore as much. I am so glad we chose to stay here. Best time ever with wonderful hosts who helped out anytime we needed something.

Amazing View, Peaceful and Restive


This charming 1 bedroom has a beautiful oceanfront view. Ann and Richard are wonderful hosts, and the location is ideal for exploring the North Shore and the lush Windward side of Oahu.

Perfect getaway


Easy to access, beautiful view and great for simple island living for a week. Close to running trails, roadside fruit stand and turtle bay resort. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper due to road noise. It didn't bother me but I am an early riser and heavy sleeper.

Great ocean front view


Had a very nice 5 nights in this fully equiped rental. The owners were wonderful & the unit was exactly as advertised. The location to all the North Shore beaches was perfect & the ocean front location was the highlight of the days & nights.

Memorable place


My husband and I stayed in this unit for 5 nights (though he left earlier than I) and really liked this place. The noise was a downside as warned by the owner but on the weekend it was really quiet.
