We can be reached anytime by messenger, email or phone. Since this is a gated resort, you will need to enter through security gates to obtain a pass that will be issued for the duration of your reservation. We will give you a door code for the keyless lock.
Additional cleaning fees will be deducted from deposit if the unit is left in less than desirable conditions. Please leave bed unmade and towels in hamper and dishes in dishwasher. Place all trash and leftover food in trash room area down the hallway before you depart.
Amelia Island is in northeast Florida about 20 minutes east of I-95. We are just 30 minutes from JAX Jacksonville International Airport and the cruise terminals, making for a quick oceanfront getaway vacation. Even quicker if you fly your own plane to the Amelia Island Airport. If you decide to come by motorcycle, you will need to leave it parked next to the guards gate , as no motorcycles are allowed inside the plantation.
Shopping, resort spa, dining, mini golf and other activities are all within easy walking distance. Golf carts are available for rent for a fun way to get around the Plantation. Bring your own or you can rent bikes and kayaks too. Drive, bike or walk inside the Plantation to enjoy beautiful sunset and fish at Walker's Landing or play basketball at Drummond Point. There are also many top notch golf courses on the Island. Drive 15 minutes north to Fernandina Beach, a intercoastal waterway town with beautiful Victorian era homes, great restaurants, fun shopping, boat tours and charter fishing, an interesting history dating to 1562, and Fort Clinch. Alternatively, drive south for a nice day trip to St. Augustine, the oldest city in the USA.
While you can spend all of your time on the Plantation without a car, a car is recommended or use Uber to fully enjoy all of Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach and nearby communities and historic sites. There are lots of great bike paths to explore on the plantation, you can go fishing in one of the many ponds, play golf, tennis, paddle/pedal boarding, horseback riding or kayak with the nature center. Wander off the plantation to the great parks with picnic tables and grills or charter a deep sea fishing or sailing adventure to facilitate your vacation pleasure.
