Located in the heart of Muskoka, this charming 3 bedroom, 1300 sq ft cottage sits on more than 500 ft of waterfront on lovely Wood Lake near Bracebridge. In addition to boasting a level, grassy entrance to the clean, clear water of this 3 km-long lake, the property sits in a bay adjacent a large area of undisturbed nature. Set back from the waterfront and offering endless views over the lake and the surrounding natural habitat. Entering through the mudroom guests will find themselves in the well-appointed kitchen with its oak cupboards and tiled floor. Fans of the Keurig coffee systems will be pleased to know there’s one on hand, while cooks will be happy to use fresh herbs from the small herb garden at the front of the house. Up to 6 guests will enjoy sitting around the large hardwood dining table. The cottage boasts a sunken-living area that includes ample seating for those wanting to take in a movie or a show on the large-screen TV. Also located on the main floor are a large, pleasantly decorated bedroom (sleeps 2 in a double bed) and a three-piece bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi tub. A further 2 bedrooms are located upstairs, each equipped with a queen bed (the cottage sleeps six guests altogether), and a two-piece bathroom. On the large, always sunny 16x16 ft deck overlooking the lake, guests can sit around a patio table under the cool shade of a large umbrella – it’s the perfect place to enjoy the BBQ located on the adjacent stone patio. The property also has traditional Muskoka chairs to relax on, as well as a unique swing made from an old tractor seat. A real treat down by the water is the fire pit. A truly unique feature is the beautiful long wood benches handcrafted by the owner. Great swimming off the large 16x29 ft dock–the perfect place to sunbathe–the cottage includes plenty of shallow areas suitable for youngsters. Two kayaks and a paddleboat are also includede, and those wanting to bring their own motorboat are welcome to dock it onsite.
