Let your kids imagine they are pioneers or coureurs de bois in this handcrafted log cabin in the woods. This Mason Lake three-bedroom cabin offers parents all the peace and quiet they need after a busy city life - and the kids love it too.
The 1300 square-foot cottage, on about one acre property, has a lovely rustic feel to it with a western exposure to enjoy the sunsets, and is quite private with one neighbour to one side and an occasionally used trailer on the other.
The inviting living room, dining room (seating for 6 - 7) and fully equipped kitchen has beautiful red pine flooring and is a cozy space for the whole family to gather at the end of the day, or to watch a movie. There is satellite TV with a DVD player and the comfortable couch and chairs will be sure to lull you to relaxation. This area has two large windows as well as the patio door leading to the deck, allowing the sun to shine in while offering a view of the lake.
There are 3 lovely bedrooms on the second floor. The master bedroom with a queen bed has a small balcony facing the lake, where you may want to enjoy your morning coffee before the kids are up. The second bedroom has a queen bed and faces the road, and the third bedroom has bunk-beds - double on the bottom, twin on the top and also faces the road. There is a four-piece bathroom on the first floor.
Pets cannot be allowed on the couch, chairs or beds and must be leashed outside and cleaned up after properly.
There is no telephone, but there is a cell phone booster which will give you better cell phone usage. Internet is available only through your cell phone.

There is 100 feet of frontage but most of it is yet to be cleared brush. The approach to the sandy edge is fairly flat and grassy. The bottom is sandy with no weeds for about 20â?? then a bit mucky before it gets very deep. There is no dock but there is a floating raft that you can sunbathe or fish (bass & trout) from. Paddle boat and canoe are available. There is no place to launch larger motor boats on this lake so this adds to the peaceful atmosphere. There are five Muskoka chairs and a table near lake by the fire pit. Firewood provided. Close to OFSC 303 trail for winter snowmobilers.
The cozy deck off the living area facing the lake has a barbeque and gets both sun and shade. A childrenâ??s playground (jungle gym) to the side of cottage is for the little onesâ?? entertainment.
