Looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Come and enjoy this cozy cottage located on the Muskoka River, near Bracebridge. With the sun shining on the property all day, there is lots of time to play yard games, sun bathe or just relax outdoors. Curl up in the evenings on one of the love seats or chairs in the comfy gazebo near the water, to really enjoy the cottage experience.
The three bedroom cottage is all on one floor to keep the family together. There are two queen beds, and one king bed. There is also a four-piece washroom in the main cottage. There is an outhouse located outside for your convenience.
The open concept kitchen and living room provides space for everyone. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, kettle, blender, magic bullet and a French press coffee maker. You'll find all the pots and pans and dishes you'll need to prepare delicious family meals. The living room has seating for six, on the couch or two chairs. With no television at the cottage, this is the ultimate place to reconnect with family or listen to music on the radio. For the rainy days, there are board games, poker chips and a small portable DVD player with a screen that is perfect to entertain until the rain passes. There are extra chairs outside that can be moved anywhere on the property for your needs. There is no landline phone here, however cell phones get service outside and on the dock (inside can be spotty).
Walk out onto a spacious deck with a beautiful view of the river. Here you will find a new BBQ, so you can watch the children play in the yard while cooking meals. There is a large picnic table here which is perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The large grassy area to the water is excellent for any yard games you may bring along with you. There is a fire pit near the gazebo facing the water where everyone can gather around and sing songs or roast marshmallows. There is a lot of dry fire wood (skids) provided for your use as well. The fire wood located in the shed is completely off limits.
There is a 10 X 20 dock with a swim ladder that is perfect for sun bathing or swimming from. The bottom can be mushy, so swimming off the dock is usually preferred. There is a slow moving current in the summer months, so it is safe for swimming. Bring or rent a canoe to enjoy scenic views of the river and all that nature has to offer. There are about 5km of waterway to explore until you reach the rapids down the river.
The cottage has a fantastic view of the changing leaves in the fall as there are no homes located across the river. There are many attractions and activities to do in the town of Bracebridge, which is only fifteen minutes away.+ More
