This beautiful luxury cottage is located in the heart of Muskoka, 10 minutes from the town of Gravenhurst. At the entrance there is a foyer with a 2 piece bathroom and laundry room. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open concept. The high vaulted ceilings with fans throughout (including a skylight and track lighting in the kitchen) and the floor-to-ceiling windows, give the cottage a feeling of spaciousness. The living room seats 6 comfortably and the dining table can seat 12 with 2 bench seats and 8 chairs. Sliding doors off the dining room take you to a patio with a BBQ and table with umbrella & 6 chairs. This area is shaded most of the day and will be a cool place to sit. There are also 4 stools at the kitchen counter for extra seating, or to have a glass of wine while chatting with the cook. The kitchen has a fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, Keurig Coffee machine (please bring your own K-cups), as well as baking and serving dishes.
On the main floor there are 3 bedrooms. The 1st has a double bed and small balcony with a view of the lake. The 2nd bedroom has 2 double beds, and the 3rd bedroom has a single and a bunk bed with double on the bottom and single on top. All bedrooms have ceiling fans to keep the air circulating and cool. There is a 4 piece bathroom on this floor with double sinks.
On the lower level there are 2 bedrooms, one with a bunk bed, double on the bottom and single on top, and the next bedroom has a double bed. The living area down here has seating for 10 to 11, as well as a games table with room for 6. There is also an older TV and a DVD player, but bring you own DVD's as there is no TV reception. The bathroom down here is a 3 piece with shower.
The loft upstairs has a large, exquisite bedroom with a 4 piece ensuite bathroom and small balcony. This bedroom has a queen size bed and a single for the child who likes to be near their parents, with a view over the living room and to the lake through the windows.
There are 1 queen, 3 doubles, 2 bunks (double on bottom, single on top) and 3 singles. There are 4 bathrooms, two 4-pieces, one 3-piece and one 2-piece.
Outside, take a stroll down the gentle slope to the fire pit with 5 Muskoka chairs, a lounger and a hammock at the back of the boathouse. Here is the lovely beach with a gradual entry with a hard sand bottom just perfect for the children in your family. After about 15 feet, the water depth gets quite deep and there are a few weeds over by the boathouse in the deeper water. The dock and beach get sun for most of the day, and a 20 ft. boat can be docked with no problem. There is good privacy on the lawn and the beach, sheltered from the neighbours by a natural tree line. There is a stand up paddle board, a kayak, a three person floating tube and another type of water toy that will fit three people, for water fun. The view from the dock is magnificent and you can watch the steamships, the Wenohah II, the RMS Segwun or the Wanda II, ply the waters just as they must have in years gone by.+ More
