This newly built Muskoka waterfront cottage is located on beautiful Meyers Lake just south of MacTier, close to the many popular tourist attractions of Muskoka, Parry Sound and the Georgian Bay region. It’s ideal for couples or small families looking for a comfortable and relaxing waterfront vacation.
Built on top of Muskoka granite this two-level 1,000 sq. ft. cottage with 110 feet of waterfront features 2 bedrooms plus a separate sleeping cabin close to the cottage, a 900 sq.ft. wrap-around deck, panoramic lake views and beautiful evening sunsets. It’s a perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Upon entering the cottage the main foyer leads you past the main floor bathroom and bedroom to a bright open living, dining and kitchen area with a high vaulted knotty pine ceiling, large floor to ceiling picture windows and spectacular waterfront views that create a warm and welcoming lake house feel. The high vaulted ceiling creates an expansive opening from the living room to the upper level that overlooks it. The living room features a stone fireplace, 38” flat screen TV, DVD player with lots of kids DVD’s available and a comfortable sofa and chairs for relaxing. You can cook simple fare to gourmet in the clean, bright modern kitchen with granite counter tops and everything you need for your vacation meals including refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, and plenty of cooking utensils and cookware. At meal time the dining table seats 8. Conveniently located off the living room and dining area are two patio doors that provide easy access to the spacious wrap-around deck overlooking the lake. There is a propane BBQ, patio table, chairs and umbrella where you can spend time socializing, enjoying outdoor dining or just simply relaxing.
On the main floor of the cottage there is a 3-piece (shower, sink, toilet) bathroom that also includes a washer and dryer for your laundry needs during your stay at the cottage. On the upper level of the cottage there is second bedroom with a queen bed, ceiling fan and large bright windows.
Outside there is a garage used for personal storage by the owner. The stairs to the upper level lead to a sleeping cabin with a double bunkbed and futon - awesome sleeping quarters for the kids. With 16 patio chairs, 2 loungers, 4 Muskoka chairs and a hammock there is plenty of outdoor furniture at the cottage. The shoreline at the cottage has stone and flat rock sections with a gradual slope into the water. There is a 36 foot dock at the shore, a ‘Lillypad’ floating pad for splashing in the water and a canoe and kayak for exploring the lake.
There is a fire pit and sitting area for socializing near the bunkie/garage and cottage.
The lake has excellent fishing, large and small mouth bass are a great find in Myers lake. Pack your rod and tackle and take home that monster fish.
Whatever your vacation style there is something for everyone to do, whether it's lazy days at the cottage or heading out to enjoy the many local events and attractions. A short drive away are the towns of Port Carling, Bala, Gravenhurst, and Bracebridge - with a wide variety of shopping, dining, entertainment, arts & culture events and attractions that occur throughout the year such as the Antique and Classic Boat Show and Dockside Festival of the Arts at the Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst Bay. During the summertime, area farmer’s markets are great places to buy local produce and goods. Step into the past and explore the Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre. Cruise on the RMS Sequin or Wenonah steamships and Island Queen to experience Muskoka’s history and breathtaking scenery. Enjoy the vibrant Fall colours, take in the Bala Cranberry Festival, visit Santa's Village and the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame. Spend a day at one of the areas many golf courses or Provincial Parks.
