Steeped in wild mint and ocean breezes. Walk to shore in minutes. Explore small fishing village, rural areas and larger towns on the eastern shore.

Upstairs: 3 Bedrooms: 2 windows/1 closet each room. 2 double extra long beds/ 1 single bed.

Bathroom: sink/toilet/footed tub w/shower.

Downstairs: Kitchen: stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. Pots/pans, utensils, dishes.

Living room: TV/VCR. Sofas, chair.

Dining room: Dining table, chairs, patio door to deck.

Library: Board games, books, tapes.

Forced hot air oil heat, More beds available, Linens provided, Beach chairs.

A Quiet Vacation

This property is very quiet without neighbors nearby. Drum Head population= about 32 people. A fine area to explore nature. Especially scenic for painters. Enjoy the silence reading, writing or viewing the ocean. Sunbath and swim at Tor Bay Provincial park. Tour the small towns on this coastline. As someone said-'best suited for those who can make their own fun'. Heaven for those who like peace and quiet. A faint roar of the ocean, always a breeze, never oppressively hot.

Bedroom Description

Bdrm 1: 1 dble extra long. Bdrm 2: 1 dble extra long. Bdrm 3-1 single bed. Today, there is also a single bed in the library. Couch in living rm is also very sleep-able.

Location Description

Waterfront nearest the cottage is rocky but walkable. Excellent exploring of nature at it's finest. Accessible from the house via a path thru the backyard or on pavement to the wharf. Unlikely to see any other person here.

Tor Bay Provincial Park is a gorgeous and extensive sand beach-20mins drive. Perhaps 12 people on a good hot Sunday at this beach. Walk, bike, rollerblade. Hike around the shore or the Loyalist Hiking trail. Very little traffic on roads.

3 min walk to buy lobsters at the Drum Head Wharf in season {Mid April-Mid June}.

Buy shrimp at Stormont wharf {10 min drive}.

Tor Bay Provincial Park - beautiful sand beach without crowds {20 min scenic drive}. See a Festival Antigonish play at the Bauer Theatre.

Free concerts Sunday nights at Granville Green {1 hr drive}.

Sherbrooke Village - tour restored interactive 1800's town - [5 min ride] Port Bickerton ferry+40 min drive}.

Visit Port Bickerton light house.

Many festivals throughout the summer in nearby towns.

3hr drive to Halifax. 1.25 hr to New Glasgow. 1 hr to Antigonish or Cape Breton.
