OVERVIEW This classic summer cottage is located on the best part of Lake of Bays, Muskoka near Point Ideal. Less than 20 minutes by car to Dwight, 30 minutes to the centre of Huntsville and 2.5 hours from Toronto. The large cottage with its two sleeping cabins, sits on almost two acres for ultimate privacy and spectacular west view of one of the largest expanses of Lake of Bays. The private waterfront is 435 feet wide featuring a large dock for diving and a stone patio on a soft sandy beach for children. The view is west, with the sun until evening and then a perfect view of the sunset right across the dining room table.
COTTAGE FEATURES This cottage has been in the family for three generations. The cottage was built in 1947 and it is classic Lake of Bays cottage in every detail. Highlights include: road access to a circular drive with lots of parking, a large stone patios surround the main cottage, ultimate screened in Muskoka Room, large dining room easily accommodating eight with sunset view, open stone fireplace, outstanding lake view from anywhere on the property, Muskoka chairs, wide dock, shallow, sandy water entry at shore with deeper water off the end of the dock, use of canoe, kayaks and dingy, plus a shared tennis court. Satellite TV in every building with the movie channels included. Cottage is very cozy with original maple hardwood floors. Bathrooms on separate septic system for each building. The main cottage has three bedrooms. The large cabin has four bedrooms and the small cabin has two. An open boathouse is on the water, down a set of steps from the cottage, featuring two boat slips. A stone patio, complete with Muskoka Chairs guides you on to the beach. The old pump house, which is ideal for storage, is steps away. If you have boats, you are welcome to bring them and keep them in the boathouse otherwise there are boat rentals available on the lake. There are public boat launches plus various marinas on Lake of Bays.

There a total of three queen size beds, one double bed, five single beds and five two high single bunk beds - nineteen in total.
LAKE OF BAYS Lake of Bays in Muskoka takes its name from the curves in its shoreline, which, if straightened out, would stretch 563 kilometres (350 miles). There are three towns located at points on Lake of Bays, all of which are accessible by boat or car. Dwight is the closest village to this cottage and is the closest town to the world famous Algonquin Park. It boasts a number of restaurants, accommodation, supply stores, as well as a beautiful public sand beach and docking facility. Baysville is the south gateway to Lake of Bays from Hwy 11 is located at the junction of the South Muskoka River and the Lake. The village centre includes a scenic dam with parks and picnic areas, good for fishing and boat launching. Baysville, a centre of cottage activity, has a variety of stores, restaurants, artisan studios with a range of accommodation. Dorset is famous for its Lookout Fire Tower offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area - a must for picture taking, especially the fall colours.
