King studio cottages have small, well-equipped kitchens with full size refrigerators, stove/oven, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster (no dishwasher), king bed plus sleeper sofa in living area, flat-screen TV, vaulted ceilings, dining area that seats four, small bathroom with shower (no tub), hairdryer. Large screened-in porch with tropical garden views, white wicker furniture including dining table that seats four and George Foreman electric grill for your exclusive use. Additional after-beach shower at back door. Includes free wi-fi, flat-screen cable TV, books, family games, linens, iron/board, cleaning tools, beach towels, cooler, beach chairs, A/C, heat, one free parking space per unit in off-street parking in front of property.

Property Description

Cottages by the Ocean is a small, well-kept property of charming Key West-style studio and one-bedroom cottages. We are a multiple White Glove award-winner by the Superior Small Lodging Association. Each restored 1940s cottage has a full kitchen, king bed and sleeper sofa, lush, tropical garden views, large screened-in porches or open patio, private BBQ grills, with a central sun patio for all cottages and guest laundry on site. For the comfort of future guests, no smoking is allowed inside the Cottages, but you may smoke on your private porch. Small pets - inquire/pet fee.

The Cottages are centrally located on a quiet street in the safe, oceanside community of Pompano Beach, between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. They are less than two blocks from Pompano's spectacular new oceanfront (with life guards), and a short walk to dozens of restaurants, shops, nightspots, public fishing pier, snorkel/dive/charter fishing boats, jet ski and boat rentals, gym, day spa, drug store, and more.

It's a five-minute drive to Pompano's new Cultural Arts center, historic Old Town, CitiCenter shopping mall, movie theaters, state-of-the-art tennis and aquatics complex, dog park, historic air park for private planes and the Good Year Blimp base, 36-hole golf facility with Greg Norman signature course and driving range. Shipwreck Park with 16 underwater wrecks is the artificial reef system and underwater arts park just one mile offshore.

The smoke-free ISLE Casino, next door to Pompano Harness Track, is a 15-minute drive. I-95 is a 10-minute drive for easy access to all South Florida business centers, shopping and attractions.

Snorkel and dive trips 3x daily; charter party and fishing boats, enjoy public fishing pier, surfing, jet skis and boat rentals and gambling cruises.

Restaurants: Some of the best restaurants in all of South Florida are a short walk or drive away. There are dozens of really good ones, including waterfront dining, in all price ranges.

Shopping: Walk to local beach shops or drive to many high-end shopping malls including the new Pompano CitiCentre mall, trendy Las Olas Boulevard, Sawgrass Mills outlet mall, the Swap Shop and Festival Flea Market Mall.

Additional Information

IMPORTANT: This reservation is NOT confirmed until guest completes paperwork with property manager to provide security deposit and fees. Please expect an email from property manager within 48 hours (check you spam mail in case it goes there), and contact property manager right away if you do not see this email. Once this paperwork is returned and processed, you will receive a confirmation letter with arrival instructions. Check in beginning at 4 p.m. Check out by 10 a.m. Two parking spaces (one behind the other) are provided per unit rented. Small, well-behaved dogs under 20 pounds: inquire/pet fee. For the comfort of future guests, this is a SMOKE FREE PROPERTY (except for the seating area on your private porch). No smoking is allowed inside the apartments or on the property grounds. Other House Rules: No additional overnight guests or more than two daytime visitors without prior approval by property manager (additional charges may apply). Within seven days of departure, no cooking of fish or foods with strong odors inside the apartment so apartment is odor-free for the next guests (please use outdoor BBQ instead). Maintain property and contents in as good a condition as when guest arrived. Leave apartment in “broom swept” condition. We do the heavy cleaning after you leave. Do put out your garbage and wash and put away your dishes. Launder all linens except those used on your last night and day of your stay. Guest agrees to pay for all damage or theft caused by guest. Guest will contact owner or manager as soon as possible if damage to property is observed. Please observe quiet time between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. so as not to disturb other guests. No illegal activity. No guests under 25 without parent or legal guardian.
