Bedroom Description

The aim of the Tree House Cottage is total relaxation and fun. Peace and quiet while there but an amazing amount of things to do and see in the area if you so chose. This is a place to "get away from it all", therefore there is not any tv or internet. So far everyone has been quite happy without them. There is a landline phone..

Location Description

Strolling thru town you will see beautiful preserved Victorian homes and inns. Wonderful restaurants in all price ranges are all within the walking area. The boardwalk along the river from Fort Anne to the lighthouse and King's Theater is a wonderful spot to meander. The Farmers Market is on Saturdays and Wednesdays, featuring not only locally grown produce but also many fine craftsmen, potters, artists, weavers, jewelry makers. Across from the market is the working boat haulout. Further along is O'Dell House a historic house of the l800's.Besides the children's playground is a wonderful chocolatier, coffee lunch spot, antiques and books. Across Parker Mountain are the various working lobster wharfs. Here you can buy fresh lobsters, scallops, fish, dulse. or purchase cooked lobsters to take on a picnic. I own a Victorian home overlooking the wharf where you can picnic. Digby is nearby with it's famous scallop fleet. Bear River, featured in the New York Times, is built on stilts and has a fantastic nationally known gallery with huge collection of artists. Restaurants here also are built on stilts due to the tidal surges in the river. Further south is the French shore and you are welcome to try their famous Rappie Pie, which takes 24 hours to make. Back to Parkers Cove, the Dewlaps Wilderness Trail (Cliffside walk on the Bay of Fundy and waterfall crashing into the bay). Back to Annapolis Royal to the nationally renownedHistoric Gardens, a beautiful place to spend an entire day. Upper Clements Park is an old time amusement park, wooden roller coaster, lots of grass and water, rides for all ages, music every day. This year they've added an adventure park with zip line designed by a French expert. Swimming and canoeing and kayaking are available at all the many lakes. Better yet, just relax at home and enjoy the gardens and river.
