Beautiful, modern three bedroom cottage located on a quiet street in the community of Southampton, close to the beach and rail trail. Pull up to the cottage along the peaceful neighbourhood street and notice the side-walked streets for your strolling pleasure. You can park your car under the cottage's carport if you wish. Inside, you'll find hardwood floors throughout the kitchen, dining and living room areas. The kitchen is complete with modern appliances and many of the comforts of home including fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave and more. A window to the outdoors is located over the kitchen sink and a petit table with two chairs is situated in the corner of the kitchen - the perfect spot for your morning coffee or to keep the chef in your group company while meals are prepared. One of the kitchen walls has a 'window' cut out to the dining room, opening up the space and providing a view to the room beyond. The dining table with eight seats is situated by french doors that step out to the lower front porch. Just adjacent to this is the bright, comfortable living room space complete with two couches nestled by a gas fireplace and a 27" TV with cable and DVD player. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind indoors after enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. A laundry nook is located right next to the kitchen with washer and dryer available for your convenience.
Up the stairs to the second level are three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The master bedroom offers a queen size bed and bright windows that will let in a breeze - this bedroom also has a ceiling fan to keep the air circulating. The master bedroom also has a three-piece ensuite bathroom with a shower. The two additional bedrooms each have a walk-out to the upper deck via french doors. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan for your comfort. One bedroom has a set of double bunkbeds and the other bedroom offers a queen bed. Step out the french doors and relax in either of the two loungers situated on this upper deck, looking out to the quiet neighbourhood. The main bathroom is a four-piece with combination tub/shower.
Outdoors is a covered back deck that also wraps around to the side of the cottage. There you'll find a sunny area with patio table, umbrella and six chairs. A propane BBQ is available for your use to cook up the perfect summer meal that you can enjoy outdoors on this great deck space. The cottage provides a great, grassy backyard that is perfect for the kids to play and for you to relax and enjoy the fresh air. The property backs onto a natural ravine so the rear of the property is well treed. A gazebo is situated at the rear of the property for privacy and peace and quiet. A campfire can be enjoyed in the backyard on the stoned patio, with the portable fire pit.
The cottage is just under 1 km (900m) from access to the sandy shores of Lake Huron. It is also walking distance to the rail trail access, which is a great walking path that links Port Elgin and Southampton. Also just a short 10 min walk away are tennis courts.
A short 5 minute drive will bring you into downtown Southampton where you can enjoy the shops, restaurants, more public sandy beach, and Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre. -Maximum number of people: 6 adults or up to 8 people if 2 are children -Individuals 16 years of age or older count as adults -Pets Not permitted -Internet is only available in July & August -Smoking not permitted in cottage -Linens and Towels are not supplied -Renters are responsible to leave the cottage clean at the end of the rental period
