Property Description

Tin Poppy is a remote solar powered vacation rental located in the Larch hills between the Shuswap and the North Okanagan valley. Tin Poppy is a 1953, 32 foot travel trailer approximately 200 square feet, encased in a modern screened-in post and beam structure bringing the space up to 1200 square feet in total. All four seasons offer spectacular outdoor activities, so whether you're into mountain biking, birding, cross country skiing, fishing the Shuswap River, or simply seeking solitude in a beautiful natural setting, Tin Poppy provides a splendid and luxurious habitat. Tin Poppy can accommodate up to 5 guests in the spring and autumn and 8 in the Summertime. The master bedroom inside the trailer has a comfortable queen size 8 inch high density foam mattress. In the second bedroom there is a twin bed with a 6 inch memory foam, and in the living room there is a double pull-out couch. The Toilet Room in the Tin Poppy has a modern flush toilet and sink; there is also a clean and modern outhouse. All the linens and bath robes are provided and are quality, high thread count cotton. Tin Poppy has a private outdoor shower equipped with hot water on demand. Tin Poppy also has a 6 person wood-fired sauna. The kitchen is well-equipped with a stove/oven, fridge/freezer, and BBQ. Tin poppy has high speed internet! Wintertime at Tin Poppy is best suited for outdoorsy couples and small families who love cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or just hanging out in a peaceful remote setting. The cozy 200 square foot solar powered trailer is heated with a propane furnace. Because of the remote location and challenge with year-round heating we shut off the water to the trailer, shower and bathroom in the wintertime and the sauna and “scoop” shower provide the only bathing. Tin Poppy runs on solar power so please turn the furnace off or down whenever you leave, and the lights off too, thanks.
