We believe clear, helpful communication is an essential part of a great guest stay and this is exactly what we want for our guests at Muskoka Soul. Please take time to read the following and ask us questions.
Our arrival times are set at 4pm and 10am departure. Our booking are often back to back. Our professional cleaning suppliers requirers the 6 hours between groups to perform all set up and cleaning tasks.
COMMUNICATION DURING YOUR STAY We are here to help, please be sure to contact us during your stay if you have a challenge or something is not working. Accidents can happen like a broken glass or something bigger, like you can't start the dishwasher. Please inform us of anything so that we can help and replace any items.
NOISE & NEIGHBOURS Both of our Muskoka Soul properties - Cliff Bay House & Lake House are in a family cottage areas. There are neighbours next to each cottage so noise levels are important. Please enjoy yourself but respect our neighbours and the way sound carries on the water. No excessive noise or loud music outside, if you are in the Muskoka Room or outside with music, it should be turned off before 10:30pm. Muskoka Soul is not a party location. The use of FIRE WORKS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
CLEANING ON DEPARTURE House keeping includes at total of 6 HOURS of cleaning time to focus on changing linens and cleaning rooms. All linens are rented and removed for cleaning. If the cleaning time exceeds 6 hours the cost for added cleaning time will be passed on at the rate we pay which is $40/ hour from the local suppliers we use. What can increase time is: 1. food left behind, so remove all used and unused food 2. garbage & recycle not removed and processed as per the town requirements, follow the notes provided on your departure and posted at the house. 3. dishes/ bottles/cans/ garbage left around the house and outside the house 4. furnishing/ pillows /blankets moved from rooms and not returned from the room of origin. Return any moved furniture/items 5. Unwashed dishes. Please load and start the dishwasher(s) before you depart 6. windows left open in the fall, winter & spring. Please close windows and lock doors on departure.
As there is no recycle pick up November to May, guest will be asked to take their recycle with them. Recycle found in garbage will mean that the town of Gravenhurst will not pick up garbage and a $75 trip fee to the landfill located 35minutes away will apply.
SECURITY SYSTEM During your stay if the fire/police department is dispatched based on a false alarm, the fee for a false alarm from the Town of Gravenhurst will be passed on. A notice on is posted at the house. At the alarm panel located at the front door.
