Property Description

Beautiful wood details throughout, starting with the entrance and foyer. Move onto the formal dining room with original chandelier and gumwood paneling, characteristic of the 1910 to 1930's.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the necessary pots/pans and utensils.

To the right of the foyer, the main living area is cozily set up for conversation or watching the provided cable TV. Two couches and a loveseat, plus original fireplace make this a relaxing spot!

Beside the main living room lies a large sun room. This is perfect space for snuggling up with a book, doing computer work on the modern desk, or sleeping. The futon pulls out into a queen size bed.

The main upstairs bathroom has been completely renovated. It boasts a large soaker tub and a pristine stand up shower with waterfall shower faucet.

The powder room is a feat of engineering, tucked in on the main floor underneath the stairs. Personally, we think it is absolutely adorable.

The master bedroom features a huge king size bed with new linens and mattress, so luxurious!

The second room upstairs features a plush queen sized bed and will comfortably sleep 2 guests.

The laundry facilities are in the basement and guests do have access to the machines; however, the rooms downstairs are not to be used for anything else.

Getting around

Coxwell Subway station is a 3 minute walk from the house. Parking is also provided alongside the house in a driveway.

Other things to note

This is an OLD building, and as such you will encounter some quirks and works-in-progress during your stay. The floors creak in some areas, and the light switches and power outlets aren't always where you would expect them to be. Have fun exploring and imagining the family that lived here back in the 1930's!

The driveway is very narrow, so only one car at the foot will fit. Street parking permits are available from the city if you need to park more vehicles.

Location Description

The house is located in the old East-Danforth community which was established over a century ago. The houses in this neighbourhood in East York,just north of the Danforth were built between the years of. The house is steps from the Coxwell Subway station which provides easy access to public transportation and a direct link to the Bloor-Danforth Subway line. The neighbourhood is composed mainly of detached and low rise single family housing. This gives the East Danforth a great Suburban feel yet it is close proximity to the hustle and bustle of downtown life. Enjoy the ample green space in the area or take a trip onto the Danforth to dabble in an amplitude of great cuisine. The Danforth is home to the famous "Taste of the Danforth" street festival where the fine cuisine of the area is on full display for travellers and tourists to enjoy. Another great feature of this location is the short distance to the Beaches. Woodbine beach is only 3km (to minutes) away!

We will not be held responsible for any injuries, but YOU will be held responsible for any damages. - Keys must be returned to pickup location no later than 11am so the cleaner can get in.
