This beautiful, private 1 room apartment in a detached Victorian era house is located in the South Annex (a highly popular downtown Toronto neighborhood). This beautiful home offers all of the conveniences of location, it is nestled away on a peaceful street with mature trees and ample green space.

Using the private entrance at the back of this historic home you will enter into what we call the “summer room”. Aptly named due to the substantial amount of natural sunlight, This room also provides you with direct access to the back yard where you can truly relax in private and enjoy the garden.

There is a pullout couch that can be used to have a great siesta during the day or a comfortable accommodation at night.

The eat-in kitchen is very large, with 10’ ceilings! The kitchen is fully stocked with a dining table and bench. The space has been renovated and redesigned in a modern-rustic style that fits perfectly with the mature neighborhood.

The bathroom is a throwback luxury. There are plenty of towels and the key feature is an authentic claw-foot bathtub. Enjoy a good soak after a long day of travel or urban adventuring.

The master bedroom, which features a Queen sized bed made of beautiful Acacia wood, supplied with quality linens. There is ample natural light and darkening curtains for a comfortable and sound sleep.

The entire apartment has been freshly renovated and decorated with hand-selected pieces from around the world; and features original artwork and photographs throughout. It makes for a great home base for visitors coming to attend one of the many festivals Toronto has to offer or for someone looking to stay on a longer-term basis with access to the heart of the city while having a quiet retreat to work or contemplate and rest.

Street parking is available in the area at a reasonable rate.

Location Description

Being located right beside the University of Toronto - and just north of historic Kensington Market, it really feels like a getaway within the city once you get off the main streets and into this pocket of Harbord village.

This extra wide residential avenue is picturesque in the fall when all the vibrant colors of autumn are on display. It is equally as stunning in the lush green summer with a parkette directly across the street. The aged treetops provide a canopy for you to stroll comfortably as you make your way to either Harbord, College Street to enjoy the popular restaurants, galleries, markets, cafes and boutiques.

Pick up fresh groceries and organic coffee, or grab a meal at one of the many mutli-cultural restaurants in Kensington Market or Chinatown. With a little more walking, you will find yourself on the popular streets of Bloor or Spadina. There is no shortage of things to do once you have hit these major Toronto arteries. Food, entertainment, public transportation and nightlife are all a stone's-throw distance.

- No smoking - No pets - Please report any existing damages, etc. when you arrive - Please report any new damages or issues with the apartment as they happen - Absolutely no parties or shenanigans, we check for this - Keys must be returned to pickup location no later than 11am so the cleaner can get in ($250 replacement fee per key!!). - Please empty all trash during and at the end of your stay. Note separate bins for recycling (blue), organic (green) and garbage (grey) at the side of house. - Bins in hall storage area are not for guest use. - Please notify host ahead of time if bedding is desired for couch to be used as bed so that it can be prepared. - Keep doors and windows locked and closed when out. - No children please, this is an adult rental space only. - Street parking needs short-term permits, easily available, inquire with host. - No illegal downloading of material via internet. Guests will be held responsible for any legal claims as a result of their actions. - No guests other than those registered to stay in apartment. For additional guests to stay during visit, arrangements must be made with host. Additional costs may apply.
