Property Description

We have a self-contained above-ground apartment with large windows and a private patio that provides a panoramic view of the ocean to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. We are a 10 minute drive from the airport and a 20 minute drive to downtown St. John's. It has 2 bedrooms, living room, eat-in kitchen, bath with walk-in shower, and a propane stove to keep the space cozy and warm. It has a separate driveway that leads directly to the deck and apartment entrance. The home is for young and old alike with lots of outdoor green space. We can accommodate anyone with special needs as the space is fully accessible, including the bathroom. It has its own washer/dryer combination for your convenience.

We do kindly ask that you treat our space as you would your own!

The apartment is fully self-contained, has its own driveway to the right of the house which takes you to the entrance and complete with a private deck overlooking Conception Bay and Bell Island.

Guest interaction

My husband and I live upstairs on the main floor and are happy to greet our guests upon arrival and show you around if you wish. Feel free to drop in upstairs when we are at home and we can recommend great restaurants, day trips and sightseeing adventures and answer any questions you may have. We are always available by telephone and/or text if we are not at home. We try and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Neighbourhood overview

The well-known "By the Beach" fish and chips restaurant is just 1 km away and is next to the salt water beach in St. Philips. There is a trail to the rear of our property that will take you along the coastline if you prefer hiking to the beach. The convenience store/liquor store outlet is located at the bottom of Tuckers Hill on Thorburn Road. There are other restaurants in the Community of Portugal Cove (5 minute drive) ranging from the classic fish and chips/pub food to our traditional local cuisine.
