This adorable 700 square foot, open concept cottage is the ideal setting to escape the city and experience the peace and serenity of nature. You will fall in love with the beautiful lake views and the unforgettable sunsets.
The main living room offers comfortable furnishings, television, DVD player and CD player. There is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms at this cottage. One features a double bed and the other has a set of bunk beds that is a single on the top and a double on the bottom, perfect for the kids. The living room also has a double Ikea sofa bed.
There is a three piece bathroom, with a shower. Enjoy eating your dinners outside on the 200 square foot deck complete with propane BBQ . The cottage also offers a picnic table, outdoor chairs and table. The shoreline at the cottage is 160 feet long with a sandy bottom bay and crystal clear water that is perfect for swimming. There is a creek on the property, cliffs on opposite side of lake where bald eagles nest, and an abundance of wildlife.
Lake Kagawong is the 2nd largest Lake on Manitoulin island, and offers excellent fishing for perch, bass and pike. In the nearby lake you can also fish for walleye, speckled trout, white fish and salmon.
With pristine Lake Kagawong lapping at your doorway, enjoy the fresh air and abundant night-time stars. Discovering and exploring all that Manitoulin has to offer is a must! You can spend your days hiking, swimming, golfing, horseback riding, exploring Bridal Veil Falls, or visitng the historic village of Kagawong. This is one of Manitoulin's most picturesque destinations and has a number of unique shops that line the streets in the nearby towns. -Maximum number of people: 4 adults or up to 6 people if at least two are children -Individuals 16 years of age or older count as adults -Pets NOT permitted -Smoking not permitted in cottage -Smoking is not permitted outside the cottage - Kayaks are available for additional charge . ( $100.00 a week to be paid to property owners upon arrival ) -The kayaks are rented on a daily basis (subject to availability paid to the property owners upon arrival) and rent for $40/day -Blankets, Linens and Towels are not supplied -Renters are responsible to leave the cottage clean at the end of the rental period -Depending on the route you decide to take to the cottage you may be required to cross Georgian Bay via the MS Chi-Cheemaun in Tobermory.
