Sublet a private apartment in our rambling old brownstone on the nicest block on northern Central Park West. The apartment sleeps two, with a king bed.
Wi-fi and utilities are included. A/C is provided. Storage space for a bike can be arranged. There's a laundromat 1.5 blocks away (self-serve or drop-off), and local laundry pick-up and delivery services are also available. Sorry, we are strictly no pets and no smoking.
We're half a block to Central Park's paths, and a short distance to the willow tree-lined duck pond. Columbus Circle is 10-15 minutes by subway, and 14th St. is another 10 minutes on. Locally, we're within easy walking/biking distance from Upper West Side highlights like Symphony Space, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Smoke Lounge, and other arts, architecture, nightlife and universities. (Don't forget to ask us if you want a heads up about great local events that are announced by email only to folks in this neighborhood of artists and musicians.)
Nearest subway: B/C train to 103rd. The #1 to 103rd also works, but requires a few blocks' walk.
Street parking: free on-street parking is available. On weekends, it's fairly easy to find a space within a block or two from the building, and often right in front. On weekdays, it's easiest to find on afternoons and evenings, and gets harder late at night. NYC has alternate side parking rules, which for us mean that cars parked on weekday evenings generally need to be moved and tended from 8:30-10am the next day, or risk a fine.
Garage parking: There's an indoor pay-to-park garage right next door. It runs about $30 a day, depending when you enter. It's cheaper if you come in between 6-10am. During alternate side parking hours it gets full, and you have to wait till someone leaves to park.+ More
