Come and enjoy our beautiful Edwardian heritage home, with high ceilings and large rooms we are located in the stunning historic neighbourhood of Strathcona, walking distance from downtown. Featuring original hardwood floors and stained glass windows, antique décor, and southwest facing exposure- the Pender Palace was built in 1902 and maintains much of its original charm and character. Relax on our sunny patio and side yard. Soak in our beautifully restored deep soaker clawfoot tub. Watch netflix on our 49" flatscreen smart TV. Or even better, explore the endless attractions Vancouver has to offer, all walking distance from our home. Suitable for up to 7 adults, our home has a large dining room and kitchen for entertaining, an antique piano, oversized bathroom and mountain views from the north facing master bedroom, equipped with an ensuite 2-piece bathroom. Sleeping accommodations include a king sized bed in the master bedroom and a double platform/loft bed in the kids room. Both mattresses are high quality and very comfortable. There is also a single foamy bed under the loft bed and a double day bed in the family room downstairs, or two single foamy’s can be put together to create a second king sized bed in the family room (as the day bed pulls out to a king).The family room has sliding doors that close to create a private bedroom. We welcome families and kids of all ages, we are a family of four with a toddler and new baby, so our home has many toys, kids books and a crib for baby. There is also a playground directly across the street and another popular park, waterpark and playground (Mclean park) two blocks away. Our place is also very spacious (1500 sqft) and the child related amenities can easily be tucked away.

Strathcona is considered Vancouver’s arts and culture center, nestled between Commercial Drive, Chinatown and Gastown, there are countless art galleries, coffee shops, bars and restaurants within blocks from the house. Walk to the heart of downtown or Crab park beach within 15-20 minutes. There is also a community centre with a gym directly across the street, and Scandinavian saunas (Hastings Steam and Sauna) 2 blocks away. With everything you could wish to experience in Vancouver at your fingertips, our home boasts space, comfort, charm and incredible walkability.

Our house is about as central as you can get as far as residential neighbourhoods go. You can walk to downtown in under 15 minutes, are close to bridges heading south and north to the north shore mountains. The bus stops on Princess and Hastings just half a block away from the house, on a main transit route. Vancouver has a great transit system. We are also about a 15 minute walk from Main street skytrain station.
