Fishing: the cottage dock has had incredible surprises like muskies and large bass but there’s fun to just catch many of the small fish off the dock – or try the Irene Penchin Park dock 3 cottages up.

Boat Rentals: Sturgeon Lake Marina (705-793-1176), Snug Harbour Marina (705-324-6667) have small 9.9 HP motor boats. Buckeye Marina in Bobacaygeon rents full size fiberglass ski/wakeboard runabouts.

Bobcaygeon: 20 min from Pleasant Point on Hwy 36, or the more scenic beach road via County Road 24. Visit Lock 32, the first lock of the Trent Severn Waterway and witness the oldest swing bridge in action! The Boyd Heritage Museum is filled with interesting facts and memorabilia from the early days in Bobcaygeon. Then check out the shops, restaurants, spas, and galleries on Bolton, King and Main Streets. Don’t forget that no visit to Bobcaygeon is complete without a trip to the famous Kawartha Dairy! I dare you to try and eat a large!

Evening Walks: take time to enjoy the Pleasant Point right-of-way along the entire waterfront. A great place to stroll and meet other cottagers.
