Welcome to The Red Cottage on the Saco River, minutes from the coastal neighborhoods of Hills Beach, Biddeford Pool, Fortune's Rock, one of Maine's most spectacular sand beaches, Granite Point and the Kennebunk coastal area of Goose Rocks. We're 1/4 mile from the University of New England and three miles from downtown Biddeford, a renaissance City experiencing a resurgence of restaurants, boutiques, and microbreweries.
The Saco River is a striped bass fisherman's paradise and local fishing guides are available or fish right off the beach. East Point Sanctuary in Biddeford Pool is maintained by the Maine Audubon Society and considered one of the premier birding spots on the Northeast coast. Wood Island Lighthouse is located just off Biddeford Pool and offers a unique Maine experience with boat tours in July and August. Kayak rentals, sight seeing charters and parasailing are also available locally.
