We bought this home in September 2015. It was previously run as a bed and breakfast for thirty years. The home has gas Victorian fireplaces, a working dumb waiter, and a dining room fit for epic dinner parties. Please inform me if you would like me to hire a chef or stock the fridge with certain meal ingredients. This is truly a special home that would be perfect for special occasions or group visits to glorious Charm City.
Guests have access to a stocked chef's kitchen, wifi, soaking tubs, washer/dryer, a late flat screen tv with cable and Roku, three parking spots and all the fun and culture of Mt Vernon, Baltimore's historic and cultural hub. Fun fact, both Emily Post and Wallis Simpson grew up very close to the house.
Mt. Vernon is the historic center of Baltimore that is now considered the 'Cultural Corridor'. A very short walk from Baltimore Penn Station, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Opera, fine art museums, theaters, and five star restaurants.
Uber is incredibly inexpensive in Baltimore compared to other U.S. cities. You can go any where in the city with Uber X for less than ten dollars. The Charm City Circulator is the city's free bus line that will take you to the harbor. We are also not far from the subway and steps from Penn Station which will take you to DC for $8 in 48 minutes with the Express MARC trains & for 24 minutes with Acela.
Guests do not have to meet me as I will provide the code for the realtor's key lock box which will provide entry into the home.
Mt. Vernon is the "Cultural Corridor" of Baltimore. The architecture is splendid as the neighborhood was built in the 1880s and served as the home to Baltimore's railroad barons and captains of industry. The neighborhood's architecture is preserved as a national historic site. Its a truly gorgeous area to roam with wonderful restaurants, museums, cafes, and monuments.
We are steps from Baltimore's Penn Station, Baltimore's metro and bus lines. Uber is also extraordinarily inexpensive in Baltimore. An uber ride any where in Baltimore should be less than 10 dollars. An uber ride to DC is about $60.+ More
