This rustic chalet rests on 21 very private acres in the Tug Hill Plateau. It has electric heat, wood burning stove and air conditioning. There is a lush hardwood forest with streams throughout the property, and a waterfall. Perfect location for recreation. Pulaski, which is 18 miles away, is considered the fishing capitol of the northeast, with world class salmon fishing. Just 2.5 miles from the cabin is the Salmon River Reservoir. This provides a free DEC boat launch with great swimming and fishing. The cabin is family and dog friendly! Limit 2 dogs, please.
The cabin has a nice open layout with cathedral ceiling and spiral staircase leading to a loft bedroom. The loft has a breathtaking view of the woods through stained glass windows, and a queen sized bed. There is also a DVD only player in the loft. A second bedroom on the first floor has a full-sized bed. Sheets, blankets, and comforters provided.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, silverware, cookware, utensils, dish clothes/towels, dish detergent, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, electric stove/oven and refrigerator. Dining table seats 4. The cabin is fed by spring water. Bottled water and gallons of water are provided.
The open living area has a dining set, love seat, rocker, Norwegian wood burning stove (wood provided), and a non-cable television with a DVD/CD player (over 40 DVDs to choose from). Also a sweet spot to watch the hummingbirds!
One full bathroom with tub, shower, toilet and sink. Towels, soap, shampoo and toilet paper provided.
There is an outside table with an umbrella, 4 bag chairs and 2 Adirondack chairs. Charcoal grill and starter provided (bring your own charcoal). Great fire pit for campfires (wood provided). Just down the camp road are 21 acres of forest to explore. If you follow the the old logging road into the woods you can end up at Mad River Falls (check out the map on the on the wall inside the cabin).
