Property Description

Large private floor in gated Silver Lake home: many sleeping spots for groups, open floor plan with huge flatscreen & dining table for 10. Kitchenware, DVD’s & board games too! Stair-only access from street not fit for physically disabled. Walk to restaurants, bars, groceries, library, dog park, hiking/biking trails, Dodger Stadium. Near quaint neighboring areas (Atwater, Glendale, Echo Park, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Hollywood, downtown LA) for more shopping, dining, entertainment & nightlife!

The Space:

This is a two bedroom, one bathroom house. At 1100 square feet, there’s plenty of room for you and your guests to spread out and be comfortable. There are three queen beds, as well as a futon and couch available.

The Neighborhood:

The house is in Silverlake, where the I-5 and SR-2 meet, a hipster mecca, offering easy access to all points in the city. Want to see the Hollywood star walk, visit Universal Studios or check out the nightlife in downtown LA? Why not stay awhile and explore them all?

Getting Around:

Take the bus out front, hop in an Uber or Lyft and avoid the dreaded LA parking situation in the more populated areas; you can even take the metro all the way to Santa Monica, or bring your bike and take a ride down the LA River bike path all the way to Long Beach.

Guest access:

Our home has a lockbox located at the gated entrance for your convenient check-in. The key inside will give you access to the entrance gate and the upstairs floor; please respect locked doors however (the closet is used for owner storage and the downstairs and laundry room are for permanent tenants only).

A parking pass is available for one vehicle, but it not replaceable, so please avoid the fine and return it at the end of your stay. Additional vehicles can park in street parking a block away by Alessandro school.

Other things to note: There is a tenant living in the lower level of the house; he has a friendly dog who is always supervised when outside. The yard and patio area is shared with the tenant, but feel free to enjoy the fire pit or lay out in the sun or enjoy a morning cup of coffee. We rarely use that space and would love to see it appreciated.

Since the home is on a hillside, the only access to the property is via stairs; therefore it is not recommended for those that are disabled or uncomfortable with stair access.

Ideas for your stay:

Take advantage of our kitchen for meals, or venture out and sample some awesome Los Angeles restaurants during your stay here! Start the morning off right with some coffee in the kitchen. Or head out to Spoke Bicycle Café, Trystero Coffee, or Fix Coffee. All are popular stops near our place. Grab breakfast at Elysian, Modern Eats, or Silverlake Coffee.

Head out for some fresh morning air while you’re here – explore Silver Lake Resorvoir, the LA River bike path or head to Griffith or Ellysian Park.

Try by CHLOE, Wax Paper, or Gus’s Lunch Box for lunch. Then head back home for a nice afternoon nap, or just enjoy a long, hot shower.

Be sure to experience some local flavor. Check out The Frog Spot, Baxter Stairways, and Shakespeare Bridge while you’re here.

If you like shopping, visit The Left Bank and The Runway Outlet. Enjoy a meal at Salazar, Michelangelo Ristorante, or Little Pine for dinner.

After a long day out exploring, spend some lazy time relaxing in the comfy living room with a movie or game and have a glass of wine. Or just head straight to your cozy bed.
