This has been the owner's winter home since 1973 and is new on the rental market. Although it has not been extensively updated, it is clean and comfortable, modestly furnished, and is fully equipped to meet your needs during your stay, including a full complement of dishes, glasses and silverware, new dishwasher, instant hot-water valve, large screen TV, basic cable, internet Wi-Fi, and a large capacity washer and dryer. If you require a granite-stainless kitchen and Travertine tiles in the bath and other luxurious appointments, you will need to get out your wallet and look elsewhere.
Just off the kitchen is the dining area with seating for 6 that looks out to the large inner courtyard and blooming bougainvillea wall, where additional private seating is available for dining alfresco or relaxing.
The west-facing patio and community pool are wonderful for relaxing and enjoying the mountain views with a cup of coffee or your favorite libation.

Sandpiper was designed by renowned master architect William Krisel and building began in the early 1960's. The 96 home community is located in a beautiful setting with its original design respecting the environment while providing each guest with spectacular views and individual privacy. The Sandpiper community amenities in each complex include a beautifully landscaped common area surrounding the heated pool, shaded cabana with refrigerator and gas grill, shuffle board and putting green. Sandpiper is in the heart of Palm Desert within easy walking distance of the main El Paseo Drive shopping and dining areas, grocery store, pharmacy and the two level Westfield Mall.
A few things we consider when renting our home to guests:
• A complete VRBO profile is required (email, phone number, # of guests & dates).
• We contact our guests on the phone prior to accepting a reservation. • We have strict policies: No smoking, parties and no loud and disruptive behavior.
• Well behaved smaller pets may be allowed with additional deposit and cleaning fee.
• Our home is suitable for older children but nothing has been “child-proofed”.
• Our West patio has direct access to the pool and all children must be supervised by an adult.
• To avoid complications, please try to share with us the purpose of your trip.
