Less than an hour outside of Yosemite National Park, this luxurious & private mountainside retreat will make you fall in love because of the view alone! The large spacious floor plan, comfortable beds, flat screen TVs, gas fireplace, giant Kitchen and dining area, Master tub, and the ping pong table are only the beginning. The entire town sparkles below you at night, and there is no better place to watch the colors of the mountain sunset than the hot tub in the evenings.
Nestled on it’s very own private hillside overlooking the historic town of Mariposa, the Majestic Manzanita Escape will have all the comfort and convenience you could possibly need, along with the peaceful solitude and nature you crave for a mountain vacation. Every single one of the large windows in the house will lend an unforgettable view. Whether it’s the sparkling town below at night, the colors of the sunset, or the lush native landscaping with visiting deer families, you will find yourself enjoying some beauty looking out of every room. The house itself is elegant and grand, with 2,606 sqft of open floor plan, three bedrooms, and two and a half bathrooms. The large living area has plenty of room and comfortable seating for everyone to enjoy watching the 60” flatscreen tv, sit in a private corner to read and overlook the view out the giant windows, or quietly sit and watch the flickering of the gas flames in the stately stone fireplace. There is desk tucked in the corner for a nice workspace with a view out the window overlooking the backyard, and the town below. The living room flows openly to the large kitchen and dining area, bringing everyone together while cooking and entertaining. The state of the art kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steal appliances, and everything you might need to cook a wonderful meal and enjoy some drinks. The large dining table sits at the bay window, and the granite countertop of the kitchen also has bar seating for 6. There are wine glasses, margarita glasses, a cocktail shaker, and a blender available for your enjoyment. The entrance to the garage “turned game room” with a full sized ping-pong table is only steps away from the kitchen, so the entertainment can easily be continued from one spot to the next.
The house sleeps 9 comfortably, with a Cal-King bed in the Master bedroom, two Queen beds in the second room, a set of twin bunk beds in the third room, and a comfortable memory foam foldaway XL Twin bed that can also be set up. The Master bedroom has it’s own Master bathroom with double sinks, large Master tub, glass shower, and separate toilet.
After a long day there is no better way to unwind than relaxing in the hot-tub overlooking the view or grilling dinner on the gas BBQ outside in the fresh air!
While enjoying the seclusion and peace of your own private hillside at the Majestic Manzanita Escape, you can still have all the convenience you need in less than a five minute drive into the heart of town. Exploring the historic gold rush town of Mariposa you will find many wonderful local restaurants, cafe’s, museums, coffee shops, bars, and unique shops! If you want a memorable thrill, have an adventure at Yosemite Ziplines in town!
Yosemite National Park is only a 45min drive from the house through the scenic Merced River Canyon! Those who would rather not drive can also catch the Yosemite Transport System, the YARTS Bus at a bus stop only a couple of minutes drive from the house.
Guests have access to the entire house and private property.

We want to make sure you enjoy your stay to the fullest! Guests may call the manager of the property at anytime, if needed. We love to meet new people from all over, and would be happy to schedule a "Host Welcome" upon your arrival if you would like to be shown the house, have any questions answered, and hear a local's opinion on the best spots in Mariposa and Yosemite. The historic Gold Rush town of Mariposa is only a couple minutes drive from the house and has many fun shops and great local restaurants! The entire town has free parking available, and is also an enjoyable walk!
