Welcome to our quiet and cozy beach house steps from the Beachgate path to Seacliff Beach. It's so close to the shore that you can hear the waves crashing at night! To get to the beach, turn right out the front door of the house, walk 40 feet, make a right at the corner (Beachgate) and straight in front of you is the Beachgate path down to Seacliff Beach. Beach chairs are available for your use.

Our house is also only a short walk over to downtown Seacliff. There's just about everything you need there, from a gas station, to a small store that carries essentials, to restaurants and fantastic ice cream.

The Seacliff house is roughly 900 sq. feet with two bedrooms and two baths, and is great for two couples or families with children. The front bedroom has a queen bed and a small full master bath. The large second bedroom has two double beds and a door that provides access to the backyard. There is a common bath next to the back bedroom with a shower over tub.

The kitchen and dining room have an open layout with a bar top in between making it a great space that's convenient for meals and social get togethers. We recently replaced the refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and disposal. There's also a fairly new washer and dryer in the garage. The back yard has a grass area and a sunny patio with a table, chairs, a Weber, and there is a gas grill in the side yard. Comcast cable and WiFi, flat screen TV, and remote controlled fireplace also are available for your enjoyment.

Our favorite spots within walking distance are Manuel's Mexican restaurant (great margaritas) at 261 Center Ave., Ambrosia India Bistro at 207 Sea Ridge Rd. (really good Indian), Sno White Drive In at 223 State Park Drive (a classic, and be sure to try the dipped cones and the milkshakes), Pizza1 at 253 Center Ave (by the slice or whole pies), and the famous (and DEEElicious) Marianne's Ice Cream at 218 State Park Drive.

There is also a larger shopping center nearby in Aptos with a great local coffee shop, (Aptos Coffee Roasting Company), Safeway, restaurants, Rite-Aid, Ace Hardware, etc. at 140 Rancho Del Mar. A couple more recent restaurant additions a short drive away are Aptos St. BBQ at 8059 Aptos St. (serving up great bbq, beers and live blues many nights), and Burger. at 7941 Soquel Ave.

The property is only a short drive to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, local wineries, and lots of other restaurant, shopping, and beach options in Soquel, Santa Cruz, Capitola, and Rio Del Mar. The Forest of the Nisene Marks State Park (great for mountain biking or hiking in the redwoods) is a 5 minute drive away and lots of other parks and beaches are a short drive away as well.

John and Chris are available by phone to help you throughout your stay and we have local contacts who can help out in a pinch as well.

House rules:

No smoking and no pets (unfortunately we are super allergic!). We are respectful of others' property and we expect the same in return. This is our home away from home.

Be respectful and please no noise after 10pm- our neighborhood is peaceful & quiet with homeowners that have lived here many years. They are the "eyes and ears" on our house. Not the place for loud music or parties, but it is a great place to relax and take in the surrounding natural beauty. Enjoy your stay!
