Schoodic’s summit is flat with 360 degree breathtaking views over Frenchman Bay and Mount Desert Island. The Downeast Sunrise Trail is a revamped railway with miles of trails for biking, hiking, ATV or walking (see website for more information) just minutes from the cabin. The cabin is just 30-40 minutes to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. There you can shop the island boutiques, dine in Bar Harbor's wonderful restaurants, go whale watching or grab an ice cream cone. You can also play golf at famous Kebo Valley course. Pick blueberries, come home and make a cobbler while the kids fish off the dock. There are multiple bike, kayak and boat rentals available from local vendors.
