Henry: Henry, the cat, comes with the house. He sleeps inside at night and is outside during the day. He needs to be fed, brushed and loved and is a great cat. There is no litter box to deal with.
Nearby: Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF), Rogue Valley Roasting Company, nature hikes at N. Mountain Park, inner-tubing on Bear Creek (directly in front of our house), Downtown Ashland, hiking and biking trails throughout Lithia Park
Interaction with guests: We will be out of town and will not get to meet our guests but our friend/neighbor will meet you at the house to exchange the key and answer any questions.
The neighborhood: Our home is located in Ashland directly across from Kestrel Park and Bear Creek. In the hot summer months, we spend a lot of time across the street in Bear Creek. We provide inner-tubes for you to float in the river. It is shallow but fun! Directly in front of the house is Kestrel Park. It is a large space, great for soccer, frisbee, tag or picnic. We have ample driveway and street parking, directly in front of house. This is a family neighborhood and does not have a lot of traffic. We are a 10 minute walk to North Mountain Park and Nature Center, a nice place to bird watch, spot deer or beaver. We also like to take the inner-tubes to North Mountain Park and float down to our house.
We are a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute drive to downtown with lots of great shops, restaurants, coffee shops or plays.
We have views of Grizzly Peak to the North and Mt. Ashland to the South. We live in a quiet, child-friendly neighborhood that is in close proximity to everything.
From our house you are a 7 minute drive from anything in Ashland. Walking to downtown takes 20 minutes. Public transportation in Ashland is not the best and we recommend having a car to explore the great wineries, rivers, mountains and lakes that surround the area.
Other things to note:
We have a lovable and social indoor/outdoor cat named Henry. He comes with the house. We ask that you feed him and give him some good scratches. He loves people. If you are not a cat person then this may not be the rental for you. It is important that we find someone who enjoys cats. He can go inside and outside on his own and there is no litter box to deal with.
Also, this house does not have cable TV but it has internet, Wi-Fi and a 4K Smart TV and DVD player with Youtube and Amazon etc…
