Quaint 1000 square foot, 3 bedroom cottage located in the community of Lion's Head and just 90 feet to the shoreline of Georgian Bay. This quiet, nature-filled setting is perfect for those wanting to get away from the city and take in the serenity. The cottage is located at the end of a quiet dead-end street in a peaceful community. The lot is well-treed with plenty of screening from neighbours, to give you peace and privacy during your stay. The cottage is on the upper floor of the dwelling overlooking a large trickling fish pond as well as Georgian Bay. Below the cottage is the gargage (access to this is not available to renters). Take 15 steps up to the cottage and enter into the open concept living room, kitchen and dining space. The kitchen offers many of the amenities of home including fridge, stove/oven, microwave and more, as well as a bright window over the sink to let in the light. The dining table sits just adjacent, and offers a partial view through the window while you sit down for a meal together. The comfortable living room invites you in to relax on the large sectional couch or in either of the three chairs. Curl up for a nap, enjoy the view out the front window, or the 42" HD TV with satellite can provide you and the kids with entertainment - especially on a rainy day. The cottage has three bedrooms, each with a window to let in the breeze while there are also blinds so you can block out the sun and sleep in! Two bedrooms each have a double bed, while the additional bedroom offers a set of single beds. The cottage bathroom is a four-piece with combination tub/shower. Just outside the cottage is a storage shed with a covered patio and a bar ledge with four stools. The propane BBQ is located here, so you can enjoy a few drinks while the 'grill master' in the family cooks up a feast, and then enjoy your meal there or take a seat around the picnic table. (Please note that the inside of the shed is not for use, nor is the small cabin that is located on the property). The backyard is well-treed and very private, so sit out with a book to read in the fresh air while the cedars sway overhead. Or take a seat in either of the Muskoka chairs out on the front patio, and watch the world go by at a relaxed pace. To access the shoreline, you'll cross the driveway and make a right to head about 50 feet to the public access path that will get you to the shore. The total distance from the cottage to the shoreline is about 120 feet. The shoreline there is made up of rocks, so bring along your swim shoes. If you prefer a sandy beach, you are an easy 10 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) to Lion's Head public beach, down the paved road. That beach is sandy, has a playground for kids, and has great swimming opportunities for kids and families. The community of Lion's Head offers a grocery store, bank, library, local shops and restaurants. Take a stroll through the friendly village, grab an ice cream after a day at the beach, and enjoy the slower pace. Lion's Head is centrally located on the Bruce Peninsula so day-trips to explore are a great idea. Head to Tobermory for a boat tour or to visit Bruce Peninsula National Park, or check out the communities of Wiarton and Sauble Beach and see what adventures you can get in to!

Location Description

Across the driveway you have access to a beautiful stoney shoreline, with gradual entry into the water with some flat rocks. There is a GREAT sand beach located just a 10 minute walk away. There is also a playground and swings there.
