This inviting 4th floor condo loft is the top floor of a 2 story unit in an elevatored, quiet, predominantly owner-occupied building. It has its own separate entrance and privacy from the floor below.

The loft has 10 foot ceilings and 2 walls of glass, with french doors and windows north and south. The north side overlooks a magnificent courtyard garden and offers views of Mount Royal and downtown skyline. The south side opens to a lovely terrace overlooking the Lachine Canal and also offers longer views to Nun's Island and distant mountains.

The condo loft provides a spacious and airy open plan living area, with a central kitchen and a large separate dining area on the north side. Also central is a European style wet room, with handheld and rain shower (no bath). On the south side of the living space is an open concept bedroom and living room, with working fireplace, give onto the terrace (the best room in the house!) .

The living space is immaculately clean, bright, airy, spacious, serene, and relaxing. As you sit on the terrace enjoying a BBQ or sipping a latte and watching the boats and bicycles go by, you would never guess that you are near the downtown core of Montreal, in the heart of a busy and bustling city.

Bedroom Description

The bedroom is private from the kitchen and dining area, but open to the living room, with a very comfy Queen bed facing the living area and terrace on the south side.

The 32" wall hung TV can be positioned for viewing from bed or the couch or both, and even from the terrace, as you prefer! It is equipped with OTA local channels and Roku with Netflix and other internet viewing services.

The living room area has a 3 seater sofa facing the fireplace with the TV above, and a 6 position convertible chair that can be used as a chair, a lounger or a single sleeper sofa-bed. It can easily be moved outside or to the dining area, whether you want a snooze on the terrace in the open air, or have an overnight guest that you want to accommodate in the other room...

Location Description

A lush, verdant oasis in the heart of city, overlooking the Lachine Canal, steps to the renowned Atwater Market as well as to some of Monreal's most acclaimed restaurants along rue Notre Dame West. A few minutes walk to either the Charlevoix or Lionel Groulx metro stations, bike rentals and bixi bike stands, or pleasure boat rentals for touring along the Canal waterway. Walking and biking distance to Old Montreal or Downtown Montreal, with easy access by car to all major arteries into, out of and through the city. Truly a unique and superb location for enjoying all that Montreal has to offer!

This condo loft is situated in a quiet owner-occupied building and is not suitable for very short stays, groups, parties or events (other than typical residential entertaining of visitors.) Ideal renters for this condo loft will be mature adults seeking a longer term stay, whether for an extended visit, during remodeling or renovations of their own home, due to job relocation, or for professionals who have business in Montreal and want a very congenial, comfortable and convenient home away from home while in town. A time share arrangement is possible for professionals or business people who want to occupy on a recurring short term basis. Smoking is permitted on the terrace with proper use of ashtrays. (Butts may not be thrown over the railing - they will land on the neighbor's terrace!) Smoking in the condo will require deep cleaning on departure and an extra fee will be applied to cover the costs. Tenants are liable for any damages caused by smoking, whether inside or outside of the condo. The building and surrounding green spaces are pet friendly. Pets are allowed subject to pre-approval and payment of the pet cleaning fee, which is applied to cover deep cleaning upon departure. Pet owners are also liable for any damages caused by their pet.
